Talandro Starlyte gained significant notoriety for leasing the Gateway Space Station from the Galactic Empire, subsequently renaming it Starlyte Station. The Empire generally turned a blind eye to his diverse illicit activities, largely because of the substantial bribes he provided to the station's Imperial Liaison, Lieutenant Arissa Fawn.
His past remained largely a mystery, with some speculating that even his name was an assumed identity. He professed to have been born on Coruscant. Prior to acquiring Starlyte Station, he spent time employed in Cloud City, where he encountered Scizzic, whom he later engaged to repair the space station. During his sojourn on Bespin, rumors circulated that he also conducted transactions with Lando Calrissian.
Starlyte rose to prominence as a leading fence within the Outer Rim Territories. His station became infamous as a hub for black market dealings. He maintained connections with criminals throughout the galaxy, including Jabba the Hutt, Ploovo Two-For-One, and the Sabrin Ring. While generally open to dealing with almost any criminal element, he avoided involvement with Imperial or Rebel operations. He also engaged in kidnapping and enslaved visitors to his station, seizing their equipment and starships. The majority of these slaves were handed over to the Twi'lek Dahz Thulaka, who performed illicit experiments upon them. Those deemed unsuitable for experimentation were sold to the Karazak Slavers Cooperative.
Starlyte possessed a notably dubious character. He navigated a precarious path between ethical and unethical behavior, existing within a morally ambiguous space. His goods were neither inexpensive nor of poor quality, nor were they excessively priced when compared to other black markets. A savvy entrepreneur, Starlyte was quick to offer a smile, persistent in pursuing his desires, and, overall, a consummate rogue. He harbored a strong aversion to Corellians. He was regarded as attractive, sporting a ponytail of sleek black hair and possessing ruggedly handsome features. He meticulously maintained his appearance and invariably adorned himself in lavish attire.
A versatile individual, Starlyte displayed competence to mastery across a broad spectrum of skills. He demonstrated proficiency in hand-to-hand combat and with a blaster. He was capable of piloting transports and starfighters, and could slice through security systems. However, his true aptitudes lay in black market activities, where he truly excelled.
Concealed beneath his opulent clothing and jewelry, Starlyte maintained a state of readiness for potential conflicts. He typically carried a blaster pistol and a hold-out blaster, in addition to a vibroknife. He also possessed a voice-activated datapad.
