Tarth Jaxx, existing during the era of the Galactic Civil War, was a Mon Calamari female who worked as a shipwright. In the year 1 ABY, Tarth Jaxx, along with another Mon Calamari shipwright named Io Tsomcren, placed an order for a substantial quantity of starship parts from Ral Mundi's Starship Emporium, situated in Coronet on the planet Corellia. However, upon their arrival at the Coronet Starport, Jaxx and Tsomcren discovered that their ordered shipment was nowhere to be found. Ral Mundi expressed his bewilderment regarding the situation and offered a sincere apology for the delay. As the expected shipment failed to materialize, Jaxx's demeanor shifted towards hostility, while Tsomcren maintained a more understanding attitude. Consequently, Mundi sought the assistance of the Corellian Security Force, and CorSec Lieutenant Mack Jasper dispatched a spacer to conduct an investigation. The spacer's investigation revealed that the Ragtag gang had stolen the shipment, but it was ultimately recovered. Nevertheless, due to the Ragtag's involvement, the shipwrights did not immediately receive their shipment, as CorSec decided to retain it as evidence, further infuriating Jaxx.

Within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, Tarth Jaxx existed as a non-player character. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, before its shutdown on December 15, 2011.
The characters of Ral Mundi, Tarth Jaxx, and Io Tsomcren were integrated into the game through the Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed expansion, which launched on October 27, 2004. Initially, these NPCs served as "greeter NPCs," positioned at the entrances of starports to offer basic information to players arriving on a new planet. With the implementation of "Publish 21," on August 4, 2005, a fresh quest was introduced, featuring Ral Mundi, Tarth Jaxx, and Io Tsomcren. This quest, known as "Find the Missing Shipment of Starship Components," gained prominence as "Ral Mundi's quest". Ral Mundi's quest experienced a revamp with the release of "Publish 27," on February 15, 2006, integrating the quest into the "Legacy Quest," which served as the game's primary questline.
