Tempest Zero starfighter
The Tempest Zero starfighter represented a specific starfighter design. Tofen's Raiders, an elite band of ace pilots originating from the planet of Valahari, flew this model. These fighters were actively flown by Tofen's Raiders during the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. They conducted numerous missions throughout the northern regions of the Confederacy using these starfighters.
Behind the scenes
The initial reference to Tempest Zero starfighters within the new Star Wars canon occurred in Rise of the Separatists. This was a 2019 expansion for the Star Wars Roleplaying game line by Fantasy Flight Games. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Tempest Zero made its debut within the tenth issue of the comic-book series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This issue was written by Henry Gilroy and Steven Melching, with illustrations by Brian Koschak, and was released by Dark Horse Comics on November 11, 2009.
