The planet Thabeska was part of a star system situated within the Outer Rim Territories. In addition to Thabeska, this system was home to another inhabited planet, which itself was circled by a minimum of two moons. Ahsoka Tano, a former Jedi Padawan, sought refuge on Thabeska for the initial year of the Galactic Empire's reign, eventually departing to evade detection by the Empire. Following the Empire's occupation of the moon Raada, she went back to Thabeska, resuming her collaboration with the Fardi clan, only to be forced to leave once more to escape the Empire. On a different planet within the same system, Tano encountered a Black Sun agent attempting to enlist her, prior to meeting two pilots dispatched by Senator Bail Organa to find any survivors of the Jedi Purge. Upon learning of the pilots' objective, Tano left the system permanently.
