The Tomb of Padmé Amidala served as the resting place where the body of Padmé Amidala was interred. Amidala was formerly the Queen and later a Senator representing Naboo. Her death occurred on Polis Massa in 19 BBY. A statue depicting Amidala in her throne room gown was positioned at the entrance to the tomb.
Following the duel on Cloud City, Darth Vader, the Sith Lord who was once the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and also Amidala's secretly wedded husband, journeyed to Naboo. His purpose was to exact revenge upon those who had concealed the existence of their son, Luke Skywalker. Before he could reach the tomb, he was ambushed by the Amidalans. Sabé, Eirtaé, Rabé, Saché, and Dormé, Amidala's former handmaidens, prevented Vader from getting to the grave so he could not defile it.
Vader was persistent and would not be stopped. As he made his way into the tomb, he was overwhelmed by recollections of Amidala. Eventually, ZED-6-7 conducted a scan and discovered a medical implant. This implant contained a stamp that could be traced back to Polis Massa. Sabé then departed from the tomb, instructing her forces to continue their pursuit of Vader.
The Tomb of Padme Amidala made its debut in the comic book Darth Vader (2020) 4, which was released in 2020. Greg Pak wrote the issue, and Raffaele Ienco provided the illustrations.
Within Star Wars Legends continuity, Padme Amidala's tomb was presented as a section of a larger mausoleum.
