Trawak can be defined as the language utilized by the Trawaki. These beings were a cave-inhabiting species who underwent independent evolution on the world designated Rushan IX. The protocol droid known as C-3PO indicated that the language purportedly incorporated ultrasonics, imitation of environmental noises, and nuanced interplay between air and mouthparts. The Trawaki met their demise more than a millennium before the Imperial Era, resulting in their language's descent into obscurity. However, it was preserved within the memory banks of the Autonomous Translator Module, Mark II. In the wake of the Battle of Hoth, the Rebellion sought to devise impenetrable encryption methods, leading them to plan the steal of the sole surviving linguistics droid to leverage its Trawak expertise for a novel code. Following the rebels' acquisition of the droid, they found it had become damaged, rendering them unable to employ the language. Nevertheless, after repairing it and with the assistance of Lobot, the language was implemented as a new code. C-3PO, leveraging his enhanced systems and unique attributes designed by his creator, acquired the ability to speak the language. This allowed him to personally manage code translations with his team and disseminate them to other protocol droids.
