Heist at the Imperial Museum

A theft occurred at the Imperial Museum, executed by the Rebel Alliance. This operation was a component of Operation Starlight, an initiative focused on the reconstruction of the Alliance Fleet after its dispersal following the retreat from the Battle of Hoth. Because the Galactic Empire had compromised the Rebellion's encryption methods, granting them the ability to locate the fleet's various divisions as they reconnected, the combined forces of the Fourth and Seventh Divisions sought to create new, secure codes. Their plan involved utilizing the long-dead Trawak language, which was stored in the data systems of an ancient Autonomous Translator Module, Mark II housed within the Imperial Museum located on Coruscant.

To accomplish this, the rebels deployed a team of PathfindersKes Dameron, Frell, and Needle—who were transported past Coruscant's security checkpoints aboard the Millennium Falcon by Lando Calrissian and his [cyborg](/article/cyborg] aide, Lobot. Upon arrival on Coruscant, Lobot sliced into the museum's computer network to pinpoint the location of the linguistics droid within the curator's personal collection. While Needle distracted the curator by creating a diversion, the remaining Pathfinders subdued the museum guards stationed outside the collection, enabling Lobot to electronically unlock the door. The rebels successfully acquired the droid, but Needle was apprehended, and the curator condemned him to death. Upon the team's return to the Fourth and Seventh Divisions, the protocol droid C-3PO reactivated the linguistics droid, only to discover that its memory banks were damaged.
