The Triumph, a Theta-class T-1 vessel manufactured by Cygnus Spaceworks, belonged to the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Bane. In 980 BBY, Bane piloted this shuttle on a mission to Prakith, a planet situated in the Deep Core, with the goal of retrieving the holocron belonging to Sith Lord Darth Andeddu. During his return voyage aboard the Triumph to his home on Ciutric IV, Bane used the holocron to forcefully extract the knowledge required to transfer one's essence into a different body.
The Triumph, a Theta-class T-1 vessel, was a shuttle constructed by Cygnus Spaceworks. It incorporated a hyperdrive and was designed to be flown by a single pilot, while also providing capacity for at least one passenger.

The Triumph served as the personal transport for Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Bane in the era following the New Sith Wars. He resided for a number of years in a mansion located on the planet of Ciutric IV alongside his apprentice, Darth Zannah. While based on Ciutric IV, the Triumph was maintained by him at a nearby spaceport.
In 980 BBY, Bane learned of the existence of the holocron of Sith Lord Darth Andeddu, rumored to hold the key to immortality, situated on the Deep Core planet of Prakith. Subsequently, Bane undertook a mission to Prakith aboard the Triumph, carefully executing hyperspace jumps along the hazardous Deep Core hyperlanes before successfully reaching his destination.
After successfully securing the holocron from Andeddu's tomb, Bane swiftly departed Prakith aboard the Triumph. During the return journey, he studied the holocron, forcefully extracting the knowledge of the Force power required to transfer one's essence from the artifact while en route back to Ciutric IV in his shuttle. This particular mission represented Bane's last journey aboard the Triumph, as he was soon captured and transported to Doan, before ultimately being challenged twice by his apprentice, with the second encounter resulting in his death.
The Theta_-class T-1 vessel Triumph was both owned and operated by Darth Bane, the Dark Lord of the Sith who established the Order of the Sith Lords.
The shuttle known as the Triumph made its initial appearance in Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil by Drew Karpyshyn, which served as the concluding novel in the Darth Bane Trilogy, and was released on December 8, 2009.
