Tromak was a follower of the Gran religion, specifically the Elders of the Path. He also held the Elder title within the Council of Elders. When he was a child, Tromak was a Little in the Force cult known as the Path of the Open Hand, and was under the care of Marda Ro around the time she first encountered Kevmo Zink. During the Night of Sorrow, the Mother, the cult's leader, instructed Tromak and his fellow Littles, Utalir and Boolan, to set up explosives. Her false claim was that this would eliminate the Jedi by burying them under rocks. The Mother's actual goal was to destroy the Path and flee. Tromak was too frightened to comply and refused, but Boolan and Utalir began to place the charges until Marda and Yana Ro uncovered the Mother's true intentions.
Years later, when Trymant IV was threatened by the [Great Hyperspace Disaster](/article/great_hyperspace_disaster], Zeen Mrala and Krix Kamerat, who were raised by the Elders of the Path, witnessed Tromak being evacuated on a Nihil vessel. The pirates on board, however, prevented the two young individuals from joining him. Tromak departed Trymant IV alongside Marchion Ro and the Nihil, also taking Kamerat with him. While aboard the Gaze Electric, Tromak hesitated to share information with Ro regarding the location of an ancient artifact. As a result, after revealing the artifact's location, he and Kamerat were sent to the battle rink. In the arena, they participated in combat, with Tromak riding a Bogaranth. Following the discovery of a holoprojector, Kamerat accused Tromak of being a traitor.
Tromak eventually managed to escape from the Nihil with a Bogaranth and reached Quantxi, where he met with Yoda and discussed the artifact. The pair then set off together for Vrant Tarnum, the location of the artifact, but their ship was shot down by drones during their descent.
