Tutso Mara was a Jedi Knight of the male persuasion who was a member of the Jedi Order during the period known as the Clone Wars. He provided training to the Padawan known as Barriss Offee, instructing her in the correct method of wielding her lightsaber. Tragically, Mara, along with numerous other Jedi Knights and non-combatants, met his death in the bombing of the Jedi Temple hangar, a heinous act masterminded by Offee herself, who had grown to lose faith in the Jedi Order.
Tutso Mara, a male Jedi Knight, actively served within the ranks of the Jedi Order throughout the duration of the Clone Wars. He engaged in training the Padawan named Barriss Offee at the Jedi Temple, showing her the proper way to grip and use her lightsaber. Around 21 BBY, Mara was teaching a class of younglings, and Offee, in the midst of recovering from her crisis of faith, made an appearance to observe. Mara subsequently reassured her about fulfilling her obligations.
In 19 BBY, Mara, along with several fellow Jedi Knights and ordinary citizens, perished during the bombing of the Jedi Temple hangar, an event orchestrated by Offee, who had become disillusioned with the Jedi Order. Later, he and the other victims were commemorated in a Jedi ceremony where they were laid to rest.
The character of Tutso Mara made his initial appearance in the funeral scene featured in "The Jedi Who Knew Too Much", an episode of the animated TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars that was originally broadcast on February 16, 2013.
