The Twelfth Pius Dea Crusade represents a religious military campaign, one of the Pius Dea Crusades, initiated by the Pius Dea-dominated Galactic Republic. This crusade was waged against the Zarracines residing on Zarracina III and the Teirasans inhabiting the Teirasa system, unfolding around 11,660 BBY. The conflict culminated in the Republic's devastating bombardment of Zarracina III, leading to the brink of extinction for the Zarracine species.
In 11,660 BBY, following the discovery of the planet Zarracina III by the Galactic Republic, Republic forces launched an attempt to subjugate the indigenous Zarracines. However, the Zarracines mounted resistance against the Pius Dea-led government's efforts. The Republic's response was a brutal bombardment of the planet's terrain. This assault resulted in the Zarracines' near annihilation and rendered the planet's surface uninhabitable due to radiation, effectively extinguishing all life.
Furthermore, Republic forces initiated an offensive against the Teirasans of the Teirasa system, launching from Ord Dorlass and Ord Zynthar. The outcome of their engagements with the Teirasans remains uncertain.
The obliteration of Zarracina III, a key element of the Twelfth Pius Dea Crusade, was initially presented in the Hyperspace.com-exclusive narrative titled Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Praji. The crusade's details were further elaborated upon in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare.
