A patrol trooper of the Galactic Empire, specifically a human, fulfilled the role of checkpoint officer in 9 BBY. His post was located on Level 2046 of the underworld of the planet Coruscant. The officer was completely unaware of Jedi Knight Cal Kestis's scheme when Kestis pretended to be a prisoner. Kestis was escorted by his allies, who were disguised as officers from the Coruscant Security Force, on their way to the Pau'an Senator Daho Sejan. The checkpoint officer, not suspecting the ruse, allowed the disguised officers to proceed.

The human [patrol trooper](/article/patrol_trooper] served the Galactic Empire as a checkpoint officer in 9 BBY. His duty station was Level 2046 of Coruscant's underworld. In that year, Cal Kestis, a Jedi Knight, hatched a plan to access confidential information held on the T-2 Ramsidian-class yacht of Pau'an Senator Daho Sejan. His strategy involved feigning capture, with his allies posing as Coruscant Security Force officers escorting him. Despite hearing whispers of a Jedi's presence, the checkpoint officer dismissed them. A LAAT/le patrol gunship landed at his post, carrying the very Jedi Knight, Cal Kestis, along with the crew of the Stinger Mantis starship disguised as Coruscant Security Force officers, exactly as Kestis had envisioned. Bode Akuna, in disguise as the officers' leader, was questioned by the checkpoint officer regarding their purpose on the platform. Upon being informed that they were escorting the Jedi to Senator Daho Sejan, the [trooper](/article/trooper] granted them passage and resumed his duties.
The checkpoint officer projected an air of authority, declaring a lockdown in the area and demanding the disguised security officers state their purpose. He harbored a disdain for the Jedi Order, referring to Kestis as a traitor and expressing a wish that he had died alongside the other Jedi, finding satisfaction in Kestis being punched in the stomach. The trooper also demonstrated an understanding of time-sensitivity, swiftly clearing the security officers upon learning that the senator awaited the Jedi, remarking that he would not want to delay the senator.
Being a member of the scout trooper corps, the checkpoint officer was equipped with the specialized scout trooper armor standard for Imperial patrol troopers.
The checkpoint officer made his debut in the 2023 video game, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which was developed by Respawn Entertainment.
