A shop specializing in droid parts and repairs could be found on the planet of Ferrix. Its location was North Stairs Lane, placing it across from Greyble Service and in proximity to Gyo. Above the entrance, Aurebesh letters spelled out "DROID PARTS," but the "O" in "droids" was inverted. A pair of mismatched protocol droid arms served as supports for the sign. The business also had another sign, featuring red and yellow text against a dark blue backdrop. The phrases "DROID PARTS" and "REPAIR SERVICE" were written in Aurebesh at the top and bottom of the sign, respectively. The middle section, written in Bazeese, appeared to repeat "DROID PARTS," mirroring the top line.
This store, which remains unnamed, was originally created for "Kassa," which served as the debut episode of Andor. The sign's design came from graphic designers Elle McKee and Barry Gingell. Gingell's initial design used astromech droid legs to hold the sign, but the production team couldn't locate any available ones when the sign was being constructed. As a result, they opted for protocol droid arms instead. The graphic designer mentioned on Twitter that a new alphabet created for the series was used for another sign painted at the shop's top, but he couldn't reveal its name. This same script was also used at the bottom of the Gavalox Communications sign in "That Would Be Me" and on a sign at Greyble Service across the street. The alphabet was eventually identified as Bazeese script in the episode guide for "Rix Road."
It's worth noting that the other sign mentioned by the graphic designer is hardly visible on screen. According to a cryptic Twitter post by Gingell, "You can briefly see the left of the sign behind the big alien guys [sic] head as they look up the street. Just a bit of red lettering." The post was made on September 27, 2022, after the first three episodes of the series were released on Disney+ on September 21, but before the fourth episode was released on September 28. Since the business isn't shown in the second episode, the scene in question must be in either "Kassa" or "Reckoning".
