Unidentified Givin codebreaker

A codebreaker was contracted by the InterGalactic Banking Clan to decipher codes during the trade wars against the Hutts. Jabba Desilijic Tiure dispatched the Rodian bounty hunter on a mission to abduct the Givin codebreaker from the InterGalactic Banking Clan, who was located on the Outer Rim planet of Mygeeto. During this operation, Greedo employed a lightsaber to shatter a window, facilitating their escape with the codebreaker. As a grappling hook was launched from a skiff for their getaway, the Givin expressed concerns about the safety of crossing via zipline. Ignoring these concerns, Greedo forced the codebreaker onto the zipline, which promptly broke, causing the Givin to plummet to his death.

Biography

Greedo captured the Givin codebreaker

To assist in securing victory in an impending trade conflict with the Hutts, the Givin codebreaker found employment with the InterGalactic Banking Clan. While in the company of Vice Chairman Anolo observing Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi's lightsaber, a blaster shot caused the window nearby to explode. Jabba the Hutt sent the bounty hunter Greedo, accompanied by other enforcers, to the planet Mygeeto with orders to kidnap the codebreaker. As the Givin and Anolo were evacuating with the guards, the Givin noticed while looking at a wall that they had been led into an ambush, as Greedo and Takvaa forced their way in and engaged the guards in a gunfight. Anolo and the guards were killed. Greedo seized the Givin, barricading himself inside. While Greedo was trying to determine how to escape, the codebreaker began calculating their chances of success and the reasons for his abduction, greatly annoying Greedo. Greedo then utilized Ki-Adi-Mundi's lightsaber to shatter the window and had a zipline launched from the skiff awaiting their escape. The Givin attempted to warn Greedo about the danger of crossing, but Greedo disregarded his concerns, pushing the codebreaker onto the zipline. The zipline then snapped, and the Givin fell to his death.

Personality and traits

The codebreaker possessed black eyes and a pale complexion, and had an AJ^6 cyborg construct affixed to the back of his head. As a Givin, he naturally possessed a talent for mathematics, which was further enhanced by the AJ^6 implanted in his head. This cyborg construct also linked his brain to the Imperial algorithm responsible for generating security codes. During his kidnapping, he occasionally made sarcastic remarks and constantly attempted to analyze his surroundings. His persistent chatter irritated Greedo, who threatened to kill him if he continued talking. The Givin also exhibited significant anxiety, refusing to use the zipline due to his belief that it would lead to his demise, which ultimately proved true.

Equipment

The InterGalactic Banking Clan implanted an AJ^6 cyborg construct into the back of the Givin codebreaker's skull when they hired him. This improved his natural gift for mathematics, enabling him to perform more precise calculations. The codebreaker's clothing consisted of a blue long-sleeved shirt paired with gray pants and brown boots. He also wore a brown robe over his shirt.

Behind the scenes

The Givin codebreaker made appearances in flashbacks within Galaxy's Edge 2, a comic authored by Ethan Sacks and illustrated by Will Sliney.
