Unidentified Kubaz ferryman

A gray-skinned Kubaz male worked as a ferryman on the planet Pagodon, which was covered in ice. Around 9 ABY, the Mandalorian bounty hunter known as Din Djarin approached this ferryman. Djarin, carrying a bounty captured from a nearby cantina, needed transport to his gunship, named the Razor Crest.

By playing a flute, the Kubaz called for one of his newer landspeeders; however, the Mandalorian refused it because a droid was piloting it. After Djarin provided additional payment to the ferryman, the Kubaz played the flute once more, this time summoning an older speeder driven by a human pilot, which the Mandalorian accepted. The Kubaz's attire included goggles, brown pants, red gloves, black boots, and a brown and gray jacket featuring a fur-lined hood. He possessed the skill of playing the flute.

Behind the scenes

Christopher Bartlett played the Kubaz ferryman in the first episode of The Mandalorian, a Disney+ television series from 2019, which premiered on November 12, 2019. Regal Robot, Tom Spina's design firm, created the character's mask for the show. Originally, the ferryman was intended to be a Trandoshan during the development phase.
