A group, or clan, of Mandalorian fighters were operating during the Cold War that occurred between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. In the period spanning from 3647 to 3642 BBY, following a significant groundquake, a local Hutt started to stockpile medpacs inside his palace and then sold them at inflated costs. This led the combat medic Archiban Kimble—more commonly called Doc—to fabricate a fraudulent death mark directed at the clan. Doc made certain the clan discovered the death mark. Because of this, the clan, under the impression that the Hutt was responsible for the death mark, then attacked the Hutt's palace. Amidst the resulting turmoil, Doc managed to pilfer medpacs from the palace; however, both the clan members and the Hutt ultimately killed each other in the battle.
The conversation titled "Anonymous" with the Jedi Knight companion character known as Doc in the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, which BioWare and LucasArts launched in 2011, contained the first mention of the Mandalorian clan.
