An unusual trading hub existed on a certain celestial body. Around the year 379 BBY, Marda Ro—the Evereni who established a band of pirates that would eventually evolve into the Nihil—paid a visit to this trading hub while on her quest to find more of her kind. At the same time, a Jedi Knight was present at the trading hub, and Ro approached him, inquiring if he had a student. Upon discovering he did not, she then attacked him. Instead of killing the Jedi Knight, she transported him via transport to her vessel, the Gaze Electric. Once back on the Gaze, she informed Rox—one of her associates—that the Jedi still lived, but would come to regret that she hadn't ended his life on the planetoid where the market was situated.
Ro later referenced the trading hub in a recording intended for her future family, though she intentionally kept its location a secret. By 252 BBY, Marchion Ro, her great-great-grandson, had, during his younger years, listened to her journal, including the part where she made mention of the trading hub.
The marketplace makes an appearance as a flashback sequence in the short story "A Closed Fist Has No Claws," penned by Tessa Gratton and included in the 2023 young-adult collection The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life, which is part of the larger Star Wars: The High Republic transmedia project.
