Unidentified mountain

A mountain stood within the homestead of the Mitth family, located beneath the surface of Csilla. Csilla is the homeworld of the Chiss species. To become Trial-borns, Mitth family merit adoptives journeyed to the homestead to undergo their Trials; the final Trial involved ascending the mountain. Memorial staffs detailing the history of the Mitth family decorated the mountain's peak.

Description

The mountain was situated inside the Mitth family homestead, a cavern far below the surface of Csilla. Csilla is the homeworld and also the capital planet of the Chiss Ascendancy inhabited by the Chiss. The slopes of the mountain featured snow, trees, and winding paths. At its summit stood memorial staffs that told the story of the Mitth family. The final of the Mitth family's Trials was climbing to the top of the mountain, a challenge undertaken by merit adoptives seeking to become Trial-borns.

History

In 19 BBY, Mitth'ali'astov, a caregiver, arrived at the Mitth homestead to complete her Trials. Mitth'oor'akiord, the Mitth family Patriarch, waited for her close to the mountain's summit. Thooraki explained to Thalias that he had wanted to speak with her privately for some time, and the mountain, with its "rich sense of Mitth history," was the ideal location for discussing their family's future. Thooraki acknowledged her honorable service to their family, protecting Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo from enemies within the Ascendancy, and welcomed her as a Trial-born of the Mitth. As she climbed, Thooraki urged Thalias to contemplate the family's successes and failures, which were represented by the abundance or absence of memorial staffs, respectively.
