A stormtrooper, who was a human serving the Galactic Empire, operated on the planet Tatooine. Ultimately, this trooper fell into the sarlacc located within the Great Pit of Carkoon. In the year 4 ABY, the bounty hunter Boba Fett also plummeted into the pit. He subsequently utilized the oxygen tubes found inside the helmet of the stormtrooper to sustain himself for the duration needed to break free from the sarlacc's belly, which he eventually accomplished.
The corpse of the stormtrooper is featured in the first episode of The Book of Boba Fett, a Disney+ television series from 2021. The character's appearance explains how Fett managed to survive his apparent demise in the 1983 movie Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.
