A T-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid was tasked with supervising a Separatist garrison situated on the planet Horain as the Clone Wars began. In the course of repelling a Republic attack, the droid came across a malfunctioning battle droid that Separatist troops had captured after it fired upon its own unit. Although the tactical droid tried to fix the droid's initial programming, the faulty unit, known as "Bats," resisted and eliminated two guards who were close by. Precisely when this tactical droid gave the command to eliminate the malfunctioning droid, an illegally obtained Armored Assault Tank crashed into the garrison, with Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi and Clone Captain Rex at the controls. Amidst this significant distraction, "Bats" attacked and destroyed the tactical droid.
