The element gadolinium, a crucial component in the creation of superconductors, was extracted from Vellas Pavo by one of the Grumani sector's four largest superconductor manufacturing companies during the Republic Dark Age and the time preceding it.
Sometime between the years 1066 BBY and 1040 BBY, the Sith Lord Chagras held control over this planet.
Following Chagras' death in 1040 BBY, although the planet was geographically close to Daiman's realm, no Sith Lord governed it in 1032 BBY.
Shortly after the destruction of the Daimanate Dynamic Testing Facility on Darkknell in 1032 BBY, Ayanos Bactra, a Sith Lord, brokered a deal with Daiman. Bactra, who already controlled the other three superconductor enterprises, proposed gifting him an arxeum constructed by the Industrial Heuristics in return for safe passage through Daimanate territory. This was so Bactra could launch an assault on the mining operations on Vellas Pavo and eliminate his last remaining competitor. Daiman initially consented; however, during the subsequent battle that occurred on the planet Gazzari, he and his brother Odion combined their forces and betrayed Bactra, catching him off guard and proceeding to topple his realm. Subsequently, Lord Daiman gained control of the planet.
