Velser's Ring, situated within the Bespin system of the Anoat sector, was an asteroid field found in the Outer Rim Territories. This belt acted as a divider, setting apart the gas giant Bespin from the other two planets within that star system. Lando Calrissian possessed a cane that featured metal aeroxite tips, which originated from the mining operations in Velser's Ring.
The initial reference to Velser's Ring appeared in Galaxy Guide 2: Yavin and Bespin, a reference book within the Star Wars Legends continuity, authored by Jonatha Ariadne Caspian and published in 1989. Its status as canon was later solidified by the reference work Ultimate Star Wars, which saw its release in 2015.
