Upon receiving the report, Evon engaged Namir in a conversation, discussing the private's achievements within the company and delving into their respective perspectives on the nature of warfare.
Vir Aphshire, a planet of terrestrial nature, was situated within a specific star system. The planet was distinguished by its vast honey fields, bountiful orchards, and distinctive clay hives. Moreover, it supported a population of civilian inhabitants.
In the period around 0 BBY, amidst the Galactic Civil War that pitted the Rebel Alliance against the Galactic Empire, the 61st Mobile Infantry of the Alliance actively fought against the Imperial forces on Vir Aphshire, an engagement that formed part of Operation Mad Rush. During this intense conflict, rebel soldiers stationed within a trench received the momentous news concerning the destruction of the Empire's Death Star superweapon. The announcement was met with jubilant cheers from the soldiers. By the following day, the 61st had successfully compelled the Imperial forces to retreat, thereby securing control over the orchards and the remnants of the hives, which the Imperials had attempted to destroy through burning prior to their departure.
On the evening following the 61st's triumph, Sergeant Fektrin spearheaded a scout mission to observe the nearest civilian settlement on Vir Aphshire. The team concluded that the settlement had remained untouched by damage or fortification efforts. Upon their return to the 61st's encampment, Fektrin entrusted his reconnaissance report to Private Hazram Namir, with instructions to deliver it to Captain Micha Evon, the commanding officer of the 61st. Namir was directed to Evon by Lieutenant [Sairgon](/article/sairgon], the captain's second-in-command, and the private subsequently handed over the report to the captain.
Evon initiated a conversation with Namir during a walk, focusing on the soldier's accomplishments during months of service within the 61st. When the captain inquired about Namir's perspective on the potential actions the 61st could undertake during their remaining day or two on Vir Aphshire, the private proposed pillaging the civilian settlement. Evon countered by asserting that Namir misunderstood the essence of war, elucidating his personal philosophy centered on winning the support of the populace. Ultimately, they reached a consensus to refrain from "riling up the locals," and the 61st promptly departed from Vir Aphshire.
