Vitalicron

The vitalicron was a device, secured with genetic coding, employed by the Yallow Fellowship. This dark side cult, known as the Yallow Fellowship, utilized it to house the memories of its members. Approximately 241 BBY, long after the Fellowship's demise, Klias Teradine and Tylera Yorrick, Jedi Padawans, stumbled upon their shrine situated on Mount Bikja. While investigating the shrine, Teradine discovered the vitalicron within a collection of other artifacts. He expressed a desire to bring it back to their Jedi Masters, but Yorrick countered that they should refrain from taking the artifacts, citing both the ethical implications of theft and the potential hazards they presented. The vitalicron's genetic seal was breached, leading to Teradine being overwhelmed by its contents. Consequently, he became possessed and launched an attack on Yorrick, who then killed him in an act of self-preservation.

Description

The Yallow Fellowship, a cult devoted to the dark side of the Force, utilized the vitalicron to store the memories of individual cultists. Its design resembled a truncated icosahedron, featuring a raised circle on each face, and it was colored in shades of blue-grey. A genetic seal was implemented to safeguard the device's contents.

History

The vitalicron, a tool of the Yallow Fellowship, was stored at the Yallow Shrine located on Mount Bikja, among a collection of artifacts, including a Yallow soothsaber. The Fellowship had been extinct for a considerable time by approximately 241 BBY. Klias Teradine, an arrogant and proud Jedi Padawan, located the sanctuary and convinced his companion, Tylera Yorrick, to explore it with him. His aim was to uncover lost knowledge that would impress their Jedi Masters.

However, Yorrick harbored reservations. As they ventured into the shrine, they narrowly avoided death due to several booby traps, but Teradine remained resolute. Eventually, the pair discovered the cache of artifacts, which included the vitalicron. Upon noticing the device, Teradine picked it up, explaining its purpose to Yorrick and suggesting that their Masters would be impressed by such a find. Yorrick disagreed, arguing that taking the device would be both morally wrong, as it did not belong to them, and dangerous, as the shrine and its artifacts were potentially hazardous and best left undisturbed.

During their disagreement, Teradine was taken by surprise when the vitalicron's genetic seal suddenly disengaged. He was flooded by the device's contents, causing him to drop it and collapse. Yorrick inquired about his well-being, but Teradine, with eyes that had turned completely white, urged her to flee. Ignoring his warning, Yorrick remained and attempted to aid Teradine, encouraging him to resist the possession. However, the memories contained within the vitalicron overwhelmed him, and he attacked her, initiating a lightsaber duel while implying that she was somehow responsible for his condition. The duel ended with Yorrick killing Teradine in self-defense. Subsequently, Yorrick left the Jedi Order and became the mercenary known as Ty Yorrick, while the circumstances of Teradine's death were concealed, leading later generations to speculate that he had been expelled from the Jedi for other reasons.
