Vizsla Keep 09

Vizsla Keep 09, also known as the Mandalorian asteroid outpost, functioned as a supply depot. It was situated within the ring system of Phelbos in the Bright Jewel system during the Clone Wars. Following their capture in a battle fought on Ord Mantell, Maul, who commanded Death Watch, transported Count Dooku and General Grievous to this very outpost. The Jedi Order, in conjunction with the Galactic Republic, successfully tracked Maul and his Shadow Collective to this location, which subsequently resulted in an assault being launched against Maul's assembled forces.

History

Clone Wars

Maul departs from Vizsla Keep 09 in the Nightbrother.

During the era of the Clone Wars, Pre Vizsla, the leader of Death Watch, established this keep as one of numerous Mandalorian strongholds scattered across the galaxy. After Vizsla's death at the hand of the former Sith Lord Maul, Maul and the Shadow Collective discovered its existence and seized control. Following the battle that occurred on Ord Mantell, Maul proceeded to the Keep. At that location, he made contact with his former master, Darth Sidious, and relayed the information regarding the capture of Count Dooku and General Grievous.

Subsequently, Republic forces, under the command of Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Aayla Secura, and Tiplee, attacked the aforementioned outpost. During this engagement, they engaged in combat against Maul's forces, Dooku, and General Grievous, an encounter that culminated in Dooku killing Tiplee. Subsequently, the Jedi were rendered unconscious by Rook Kast. Consequently, Maul's forces were compelled to abandon the site.

Age of the Empire

Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger arrive at Vizsla Keep 09.

In the year 2 BBY, Maul orchestrated the capture of the Ghost's crew, transporting them to the keep. Upon arrival, Maul lay in wait for the arrival of Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus and his apprentice Ezra Bridger, who were in possession of a Sith holocron. Once they were there, Maul instructed his droids to escort Ezra to the central command area.

Subsequently, Maul guided Kanan towards an airlock, where he forcefully ejected him into space. Kanan, however, managed to utilize the Force to propel himself back into the confines of the Keep. Following this, he successfully liberated his companions from the control of Maul's droids. Within the command center, Maul and Ezra proceeded to activate both the Sith holocron and Kanan's holocron. Together, they then combined the holocrons.
