Vuul Sarlin was a male Zabrak who operated as a spice dealer boss. He resided on the planet of Corellia during the period of the Galactic Civil War, according to legends.
Sometime after the Battle of Yavin, Vuul Sarlin was the leader of a spice dealing operation situated in the city of Kor Vella. His second-in-command was Jaylon Geissler. This organization possessed a warehouse in Kor Vella, which they used to store the ryll spice that they distributed across the city. A group of ryll smugglers supplied this spice. For the sake of security, Vuul Sarlin and his associates deliberately avoided learning anything about the ryll smuggling operation, which was actually the Chirq Council, otherwise known as the Red Circle Gang. Their sole contact within the ryll smuggling network was Ladonna Poe, who provided the ryll from a bunker located in the nearby Vella plains.
In the year 1 ABY, the Corellian Security Force began an investigation into the ryll smuggling ring due to the increased spice trafficking in Kor Vella. A spacer who worked for Lieutenant Cope questioned Menchi Lerann, a local spice addict. Lerann revealed that he purchased his ryll from Vuul Sarlin and Jaylon Geissler. The spacer then interrogated Geissler, but the spice dealer naturally refused to cooperate. However, after the spacer began destroying some spice crates inside the ryll warehouse, Jaylon Geissler reluctantly agreed to disclose Vuul Sarlin's current location: a small camp in the plains outside Kor Vella. Consequently, the spacer attacked the camp and overpowered Vuul Sarlin's guards. Sarlin was then compelled to reveal everything he knew about the ryll smuggling ring. In exchange, the spacer agreed to remove Sarlin's name from the smuggling ring's database. The CorSec subsequently raided the Ryll Smuggler Bunker and uncovered the existence of the Red Circle Gang. The CorSec investigation eventually resulted in the dismantling of the Chirq Council.
