Windi, a human woman, spent some time with the human male Cassian Andor, who was using the false name "Keef Girgo," inside a spacious hotel suite located on the world of Niamos during the year 5 BBY. Upon waking up in the bed of the suite, which was covered in clothing, she heard the sound of the shower running and called out to "Keef" to inquire about his activities. Andor, who was actually inspecting a hidden container of credits and other items above the shower, responded that he was washing up and would soon be ready for a walk.
Windi then asked him to acquire several items from Arkie's, emphasizing that Arkie had the latest flavors, after Andor mentioned that he had intended to walk in the opposite direction. She also reminded him to replenish their stock of Peezos and green revnog, as they had completely run out. Andor departed but was unable to return from his walk, as he was apprehended by the Galactic Empire and transported off-world to be imprisoned on the moon of Narkina 5. Following Andor's subsequent escape from the prison, he went back to the suite to retrieve his container, but Windi was no longer present.

Katrina Nare played Windi in "Announcement," the seventh installment of the first season of the Disney+ television show Andor, which premiered on October 19, 2022. Nare practiced her lines with Diego Luna, who played Andor, between takes while filming the scene back in 2021. The character's name was not spoken aloud in the episode but was listed in the credits and subtitles.
