X-Wing Rogue Squadron #16, also known as "The Warrior Princess, Part 4", represented the sixteenth installment in the Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron comic book series. Dark Horse Comics published it on February 26, 1997.
A man vying for control of the Royal Citadel on Eiattu—a man attempting to lead the People's Liberation Battalion in order to rule the planet—asserts that he is the brother of the current leader, Princess Plourr. However, Plourr is completely certain that this is false. Revealing the truth could potentially undermine his power, but it could also have devastating consequences for her.
During a People's Liberation Battalion gathering, the imposter posing as Harrandatha Estillo declares that the Empire possesses their wealth and resources within their citadel, aided by the Priamsta and his "sister", Isplourrdacartha. In the Eiattu countryside, Plourr recounts the reason for killing her brother. She explains that her brother was deranged and delighted in inflicting suffering on those weaker than him. The day Darth Vader visited Eiattu was supposedly the greatest day of Harran's life; they spoke for hours, and Vader presented Harran with a ring. This visit appeared to eliminate Harran's darkness, but on the night the planet's nobles murdered their family, Harran attempted to prevent Plourr's escape so she would be killed and Harran could be made emperor, leading Plourr to kill him in self-defense.
Count Rial Pernon concludes that the PLB is likely controlled by an Imperial operative supported by local Moff Leonia Tavira. The other Rogues, who have been captured by Tavira and are being held at the Imperial citadel, listen as Tavira details the Imperial occupation of Eiattu. She confirms that the Empire planned for Prince Harran to be an Imperial asset, and that the current "Harran" genuinely believes he is the real Prince. She adds that she will be departing the planet soon, regardless of the conflict's outcome, and will eliminate the Rogues once she knows the result of the impending battle.
Wedge Antilles, Tycho Celchu, Plourr, and Count Pernon engage in combat with TIE fighters above the Imperial citadel. Nrin Vakil fights Imperial soldiers in the swamps, commandeering a speeder to rejoin Rogue Squadron. The Rogues and the PLB achieve victory, and Plourr confronts her "brother," gradually convincing the people of Eiattu that their leader is a fraud. "Harran" defends his legitimacy and tries to shoot Plourr, who is shielded by Sergeant Ashaad. Plourr shoots off the imposter's hand, and he cries out for Moff Tavira in agony.
Rogue Squadron is fully reunited, but Plourr chooses to remain behind and lead her people, declining the Rogues' assistance in tracking down Moff Tavira. Plourr informs Antilles and Celchu that Harran's imposter's mind has been reset and that the ring he wore, given by Vader to the true Harran, was a type of brainwashing device. Plourr speculates that the man may require the help of a Jedi once Eiattu formally joins the Alliance. Antilles tells Plourr that she is welcome to keep her X-Wing and is always welcome to return to Rogue Squadron.
