Ybann held the title of Hutt Baron-Surgeon within the Lenico Colony Blue, a space station that orbited the planet Lenico IV.
During the time of the Great Galactic War, which pitted the Galactic Republic against the re-emerging Sith Empire, Ybann's profession was that of a surgeon operating within the Lenico system, where he eventually assumed control over a space station. He later encountered Acolyte Teneb Kel, accompanied by Qawohl, who sought Exal Kressh, a former Child of the Sith Emperor who had betrayed both the Empire and her master, the Sith Emperor. Fearing a potential Sith attack on his station, Ybann commanded his droid bodyguards to eliminate the pair. However, his droids proved insufficient, compelling Ybann to divulge information regarding Exal's whereabouts.
After providing Kel with the information he sought, Ybann extended an invitation for Kel and his servant to remain, but the Acolyte refused, citing his orders from the Dark Council to eliminate Exal. Exal discovered Ybann's betrayal and retaliated by destroying the station, although Ybann managed to escape.
Thirty-seven years later, Ybann, alongside Qiltakka, engaged with Lord Rathari's apprentice Girik on Nar Shaddaa, ostensibly to facilitate a treaty between the Hutt Cartel and the re-emerging Sith Empire. During these negotiations, the apprentice of Darth Baras interrupted the conference, prompting Ybann to declare that the Sith was intruding upon a private meeting. Ybann and Qiltakka then suggested that if the intruder were to defeat Girik, the Hutts would consider postponing the treaty's signing. However, the apprentice declined this offer and instead killed both Hutts.
