The Arcane Library was a library located within the Sith Citadel, a Sith temple used by the Sith Eternal on the planet Exegol. It contained information on a variety of Sith Lords and dark side users including recollections and dictations by the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. After the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY, the Resistance excavated the temple during the Exegol Excavation Project and uncovered information in the library that historian Beaumont Kin cited in his book, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire.

The information on Plagueis included scrolls and writings covering his obsession with immortality that had been dictated by his Sith apprentice, Darth Sidious, shortly before the latter's death in 35 ABY, although some of it was defaced. The library also contained material with references to the Force artifact known as the Fermata Cage and recollections by Sidious that referenced the dark side Force users of the Inquisitorius, in which he mentioned them becoming obsolete.
Material from the Arcane Library first revealed the existence of Darth Plagueis.
After the Sith Eternal was defeated in the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY, the Resistance began the Exegol Excavation Project, an excavation of the temple led by historian Beaumont Kin. The project recovered information from the library, creating several sections of documentation on what they discovered. This included files on Vader, Maul, Tyranus, and Plagueis in a "Sith Lords," section, with a Inquisitorius file stored in the "Warriors of the Dark Side" section and the Fermata Cage file stored under "Force Artifacts."
The information from the library helped Kin further construct a hierarchy of the Sith Lords, which had been a major part of his research prior to the project. Although the hierarchy remained incomplete, the new material revealed the existence of Plagueis for the first time as well as Tyranus's apprenticeship to Sidious. Kin later cited the files made on the library's material multiple times in his book, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was also published in 35 ABY.
The Arcane Library was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.
