A battle was fought on the terrestrial astronomical object Ferrok Pax between the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry, nicknamed Twilight Company, and a warrior group that had captured fellow rebel soldiers. Twilight Company lost many troops trekking to the enemy. When the battle occurred, the company won, but with only thirty-seven remaining soldiers. One veteran of the battle, the Besalisk Gadren, recounted the campaign to the tenative leader of Twilight Company Hazram Namir in 3 ABY.
The Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry, better known as Twilight Company, was deployed to the terrestrial astronomical object Ferrok Pax to rescue rebel captives from a warrior faction, sometime by the year 1 BBY. Knowing that attacking the enemy from the air would ruin their chances of a surprise, the soldiers of Twilight Company, numbering at barely two-hundred, trekked through the ruins on the surface for several days in order to flank the enemy. As supplies dwindled, however, many troops were lost to hunger and weakness. Others vanished to the alien technology or were killed by beasts that lurked in the wilderness. When Twilight Company met the enemy warriors, they won the ensuing battle and rescued the captured rebels, though only thirty-seven survived the fight.
After Ferrok Pax, Micha Evon, the Twilight Company's founder and commanding officer, rebuilt the company. Mon Mothma, the leader of the Alliance, considered the battle of Ferrok Pax a very costly battle and published her opinion in the document "Short Notes on the History of the Rebel Alliance Navy" in her personal files. She noted the 61st's losses there as an example of why the logistics of using infantry would be very costly in lives and as context for the importance of having the Rebel Alliance Navy. The Besalisk Gadren, a veteran of the battle, had recurring memories of his time on Ferrok Pax and told the story to Hazram Namir, the tenative leader of Twilight Company while on the junker world Heap Nine in 3 ABY. Gadren used the story as a point to say that Namir feared the sacrifices that his company had made during its ongoing campaign Operation Ringbreaker as well as the sacrifices that were to come, adding that Evon had used sacrifice as a strength to benefit the company and its goal.
