Gani was the name used by a hostess who worked at an expensive brothel in the Leisure Zone on the planet Morlana One, although no one used their real names at the establishment. During a somewhat quiet night in 5 BBY, another hostess at the brothel approached the patron Cassian Andor shortly after he arrived.
This caused Corporal Kravas Drezzer and Verlo Skiff, a pair of Preox-Morlana sentries, to complain, as they had been waiting longer and wished to be served first. The other hostess told them that Gani would tend to them, but when they complained that they did not want Gani, she told them to behave. Gani then approached the pair and conversed with them briefly at the bar before departing without them. Soon after, the two sentries followed Andor out of the brothel and were killed by him, prompting a Preox-Morlana investigation.
Gani was portrayed by Latesha Wilson in "Kassa," the first episode of the Disney+ television series Andors} first season, which aired on September 21, 2022. Wilson previously portrayed characters in the 2017 film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi and the 2019 film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.
