Hadrium alloy

Hadrium alloy was a type of metal composite material employed in the manufacturing of the KYD-21 blaster pistol. The Clawdite bounty hunter and also working as an assassin, named Zam Wesell, possessed such a blaster pistol and utilized it up until her death during 22 BBY. Sometime around 9 ABY, an illustration depicting Wesell holding her KYD-21 made of hadrium alloy was featured in The Secrets of the Bounty Hunters, a book written by the pirate Hondo Ohnaka. Another drawing showing Wesell and her blaster was present in an artist's journal entry which was about Clawdites. This journal was restored, expanded upon, and put on display within the Graf Archive at a point in time on or after 34 ABY.

The first appearance of hadrium alloy was in the form of Zam Wesell's KYD-21 blaster pistol in the prequel trilogy movie Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, which had its release on May 16 of 2002. It was at first wrongly called Hadrian alloy within current canon in the sixty-fourth issue of the English version of Star Wars Bust Collection magazine, which was published by De Agostini on August 18 of 2020. Its correct designation of hadrium alloy was used in "Blasters and Ranged Weapons," which was a portion of De Agostini's Star Wars Encyclopedia and published on February 23 of 2021. The substance was identified as hadrium within the Star Wars Legends continuity in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones: The Visual Dictionary, a reference book released on April 23 of 2002 and written by David West Reynolds.

Hadrium alloy showed up in the non-canon tale "The Village Bride," which was an episode belonging to the first volume of the animated anthology show Star Wars: Visions that was released on September 22 of 2021. Within the episode, Lord Izuma, who was the leader of a group of raiders, used a KYD-21 while raiding the planet Keelia at a time on or after 19 BBY.
