Sector Governance Decree

Palpatine could send the newly appointed governors to unite neighboring star systems into cooperative groups. The Decree also enabled the governors to turn all production facilities within their systems into facilities focused on the war effort. The Delegation of 2,000, a group of two thousand concerned political figures, created the Petition of 2,000, which notably demanded the abrogation of the decree. The system of governorship remained in place during the Imperial Era and outlived the Imperial Senate, which was dissolved by Palpatine in 0 ABY.
