A GEMINI captain commanded an Eternal Fleet warship that was picked as a target by the Alliance seeking to take over the GEMINI frequency. Her ship was transferring prisoners from the Core Worlds to the Eternal Empire capital of Zakuul when it was intercepted and boarded. The GEMINI captain attempted to destroy and delay the intruders until SCORPIO granted her free will, allowing her to make her own choices beyond her programming. The captain then chose to upload her consciousness into the GEMINI frequency while setting her ship to self-destruct.
The captain was one of the hundreds of GEMINI droids created millennia ago on Iokath to control a warship of the Eternal Fleet. When the Iokath Civil War broke out, the Iokath engineers send the Eternal Fleet and the GEMINI droids into Wild Space with their memory cores locked. Eventually the Fleet was re-discovered by Valkorion, who took it over and used it to build his Eternal Empire of Zakuul. By 3630 BBY the Eternal Empire was the ruling power in the galaxy, opposed only by a small Alliance in a war against Zakuul.
The captain's ship was transporting several prisoners to Zakuul for the current Emperor Arcann to interrogate. Meanwhile, the Alliance had retrieved the GEMINI Prime, allowing SCORPIO to track every GEMINI captain across the galaxy. The Alliance realized it was possible for them to take control over the Eternal Fleet by plugging the GEMINI Prime into a captain's chair on any of the Eternal Fleet ships. The captains' vessel, which was making a refueling stop, was selected as a target, and the Alliance strike team consisting of Lana Beniko, Senya Tirall, Theron Shan, SCORPIO and the Alliance Commander infiltrated its hangar.
The GEMINI captain was observing them through the security cameras and and took special interest in SCORPIO, suspecting her to be an inferior model. She then activated a set of blast doors, separating the Commander and SCORPIO from the others and send skytroopers to deal with the intruders, while using poison gas to keep them on the move. SCORPIO soon came across a data note and plugged herself in, establishing a direct link with the GEMINI captain. SCORPIO then spoke of her intention to erase the GEMINI captain, but in fact granted her free will, non-verbally asking to delay her companions in return. The GEMINI captain then overloaded SCORPIO's circuits and destroyed her droid body, while also allowing SCORPIO to transfer her consciousness into the GEMINI frequency.

The captain, now having the ability to choose, kept her end of the deal, stalling the Alliance members with skytroopers, blocking their routes with blast doors and stopped turbolifts, luring them into the Sun Generator chamber and allowing them to locate and release prisoners. Eventually the Alliance Commander and Senya Tirall reached the bridge and engaged the captain in a fight, but despite having run over two thousand combat simulations she was nevertheless defeated. Still, the captain was ecstatic at the ability to make her own choices, even if they ended in failure, and having kept her end of the bargain, decided to activate the ship's self-destruct protocols, while transferring her consciousness into the frequency.
