The Querm Rybet represented a sentient species that was amphibian in nature.

As an amphibious species, the Querm Rybet possessed the biological capability to respire in both air and water. Their skin's color varied, presenting as either pink or a bluish-green hue. When developing within an egg, their coloration was a dark orange. While capable of, and frequently using bipedal movement, they also possessed the ability to hop, facilitating quicker locomotion. They also possessed elongated tongues that functioned as a means to swiftly seize objects.
The eggs of Querm Rybets were unable to withstand travel through hyperspace, as this would result in their death.
The Querm Rybets shared a designation with the Rybets, a separate sentient amphibious species also resembling frogs.
Their reproductive cycle involved laying eggs, from which new frogs emerged. Fertilization of these eggs required a male. Yoda's species considered these eggs a source of food. Upon hatching, tadpoles would emerge from the eggs. These tadpoles would then undergo a transformation, developing arms and legs, acquiring an orange tint, and sprouting small spikes along their backs. At least a couple of the species' members spoke Frog, a language characterized by clicks and groans. Humans could also learn and speak it; Peli Motto demonstrated proficiency in this language.
In 9 ABY, an individual frog, known by the moniker "Frog Lady," was on a mission to reach Trask, where her husband had secured a place to live. Eventually, they successfully arrived at the moon, establishing their residence in their home.
In 34 ABY, a Querm Rybet made an appearance at the Creature Stall located on Batuu.
The species received its initial mention in "Chapter 10: The Passenger," which served as the second episode within the second season of The Mandalorian, a television series presented on Disney+. The 2024 sourcebook, Star Wars Encyclopedia: The Comprehensive Guide to the Star Wars Galaxy, provided the species with its official name for the first time.
