Talk: X9 The Android

Hey there. I have reverted your edits to Boba Fett and Darth Sidious as they were low quality edits. When making further edits, please double-check your grammar and spelling, and be sure to familiarize yourself with our sourcing policy, especially the parts concerning formatting references and using the Cite web template. Imperators II 19:12, February 15, 2017 (UTC)

Hi there. Please note that per Wookieepedia's Manual of Style you should only link to a subject "once upon its first mention in the article's infobox, once upon its first mention in the article's intro, and once upon its first mention in the article's main body." Also please use the {{WebCite}} template (see the link for correct usage of the template and its parameters) whenever citing external links, unless a more specific citation template is more appropriate. Thanks, Imperators II 15:11, February 24, 2017 (UTC)

I have deleted the article for the untitled Skywalker novel because, as Menkooro correctly stated in the deletion request, the novel is purely hypothetical. It was never commissioned, or written at all. The correct place for such information is Timothy Zahn's article, where the information is currently located (although feel free to expanded upon the information there if need be). - Sir Cavalier of One 15:09, February 27, 2017 (UTC)

Hey man, thanks for trying to help with the articles, but in the talk page of CW Legacy is discussed that those episodes or stories should be there until something is officially released--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:45, February 27, 2017 (UTC)

Hey! I think you got me confused with User:DarthRuiz30 haha! Though I don't think its ever been confirmed that the novels of the pre disney films are non canon, we treat them as non canon (the reasoning behind this was decided before I joined here so I can't say why sorry) --Lewisr (talk) 00:59, September 24, 2017 (UTC)

Its really simple just add the {{Eras}} template for a canon article, for a legends articles you will need to add the terms like old, imp, reb that means the period of time in which the character appears but that's for legends only, if you have more question let me know. If you want to make a canon article just add like I said the {{Eras}} that should work. If you have more questions let me know--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 22:10, October 14, 2017 (UTC)

Sadly, they completely gutted the fan-oriented website that SW.com used to be, and replaced it with an app-friendly interface. Also, Leland Chee has stopped communicating with fans about the Holocron or Indycron, and the new go-to guy is Pablo Hidalgo. He answers fan questions on his Twitter, but tends to be vague and tongue-in-cheek about it. Adamwankenobi (talk) 21:57, October 15, 2017 (UTC)

Hi, the cover is most likely a reference for the reader to understand the article content. I remember that comic it was supposed to be different to the 2017 RO comic adaptation. The prequel comic had a page as you can see here , but it was deleted per this CT. Since it was deleted I wouldn't recommend creating the article again without asking an Admin.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 00:10, November 21, 2017 (UTC)

Hey, before you publish your edits you really ought to check your grammar as there are multiple occasions of where your edits don't make any sense at all --Lewisr (talk) 01:38, December 24, 2017 (UTC)

Hey, I just saw your message! Nothing about the the origins of Snoke really, and all the info about the Attendants and Phasma's baton seems to be in the articles too. Thanks for the kind words, and awesome to see another Peruvian!--Vitus Infinitus 15:12, December 29, 2017 (UTC)

Hi, please at the moment of sourcing to a website use the template for it {{WebCite}} also at the moment of creating the references don't just write <ref> use <ref name=" "> Please. And for Luke's X-wing I think is this one, but I don't think is the same one as Empire or TLJ--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 03:49, January 4, 2018 (UTC)

Its fine just some unnecessary extra spaces, but all of them now corrected. I don't see any problem with it--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:19, January 7, 2018 (UTC)

Hello, reddit is not a valid source so you're gonna have to source those tag and bink books to something else or they'll be deleted --Lewisr (talk) 17:44, February 5, 2018 (UTC)

Hello, I'll just update the page now then but really it isn't much to add, seems to be just a simple yes some Clone Wars content is coming at some point --Lewisr (talk) 00:02, February 8, 2018 (UTC)

You need things to named in sources before you make pages of them --Lewisr (talk) 15:22, February 10, 2018 (UTC)

The Outrider isn't canon, it hasn't been named in a canon source. Yes it appeared in the special edition but all it means in canon is that a YT-2400 light freighter was in Mos Eisley, which is already on that page! Hope this helps, let me know if you need anymore help --Lewisr (talk) 01:28, February 12, 2018 (UTC)

Hello, I only removed the information that isn't really necessary to include, if you want to include more its better to just briefly sum up how its a reference to Legends material --Lewisr (talk) 16:07, February 13, 2018 (UTC)

Hello, please don't make pages unless they've actually been named in a canon source, just because something appeared in a saga film or was cut from a film doesn't mean it gets a canon page. It has to be named in a canon source before we can make pages, Imzig for example isn't named in any canon source so making a canon page isn't really okay --Lewisr (talk) 20:50, February 15, 2018 (UTC)

Is it called the skeleton key in the visual dictionary? --Lewisr (talk) 03:03, February 18, 2018 (UTC)

Please when making pages check this to see if what you're making appears in anything else --Lewisr (talk) 03:36, February 19, 2018 (UTC)

The filmakers left her fate unresolved open in case JJ wants to bring her back for Episode IX, so unless a source outright says she died on the Supremacy we shouldn't add that she died --Lewisr (talk) 23:10, February 19, 2018 (UTC)

Please put more effort into edits rather than just stating nothing but the obvious, 'Steelton was a company' for example doesn't really help readers, if you don't know anything about the page then just leave it to someone who does --Lewisr (talk) 03:51, February 20, 2018 (UTC)

Please don't just copy what is on a legends page and put it into a canon page, that is not how things are supposed to be done. --Lewisr (talk) 16:03, February 23, 2018 (UTC)

Please don't make pages based off of one line from a leaked book. You're actually breaking one of the new policies --Lewisr (talk) 15:34, February 26, 2018 (UTC)

Your page Ormes Apolin has been deleted in accordance with our policy on content from leaks and you will find yourself facing administrative action should you persist in creating pages based on online leaks. Thank you for your cooperation. 1358 (Talk) 00:05, March 2, 2018 (UTC)

Please use the original source and always try to use an official source instead of using screenrant use Rebels recon which is the original and official source for the information--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:29, March 7, 2018 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for three days for adding information from leaked material to the wiki, which is explicitly against our spoiler policy. You've been warned above, but you didn't heed the advice, so I have no choice but to block you. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. 1358 (Talk) 19:45, March 8, 2018 (UTC)

What canon source says was a mercenary pilot? And what canon source says was the skiff master? --Lewisr (talk) 03:39, March 17, 2018 (UTC)

What exactly does Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia say about Liana Merian? You can't source stuff from deleted scenes to characters. If you don't know what something is then just leave it for someone else to create --Lewisr (talk) 01:23, March 24, 2018 (UTC)

If its leaked then I'd really advise against making it, considering you was recently banned for making pages based on leaked information that's a hint that you shouldn't. Until the gang is officially revealed then we shouldn't make any pages for it --Lewisr (talk) 21:26, April 4, 2018 (UTC)

Please check your grammar before you publish your edits, also please check what you're saying can actually be sourced to what you're saying it is, attack of the clones doesn't say nearly half of what you're claiming it does --Lewisr (talk) 04:22, April 11, 2018 (UTC)

Really if you don't have a source then you shouldn't make the page then expect someone else to source it for you --Lewisr (talk) 21:23, May 4, 2018 (UTC)

For now we really don't need separate personality and trait sections when there is so little known about Nest and the other Solo characters, we also don't need to just repeat information on such a small article so please stop adding one and instead just put it where the intro is --Lewisr (talk) 23:38, May 7, 2018 (UTC)

Please be more careful and check when you create pages that the page doesn't already exist. --Lewisr (talk) 01:10, May 9, 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that at least one of your recent additions added unverified information to a mainspace article. Additions to Wookieepedia's articles must be verifiable by a reliable source per our sourcing policy, and unverified information may be reverted or deleted. Continuing to add unverified information may lead to you being blocked from editing by an administrator. Thank you. Tommy Macaroni 16:20, June 9, 2018 (UTC)

It's not official unless it comes from the publisher saying "Lucasfilm has confirmed" or from SW.com. The article from THR says only "sources", a source without official confirmation is not official, same as the Kenobi/Boba Fett movies "confirmed" by THR, they're not official announcements until its confirmed by Disney/LF--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 02:12, July 10, 2018 (UTC)

Thank you very much for fixing my article :)The Hungry One 2 (talk) 17:53, July 21, 2018 (UTC)

Please look at Wookieepedia:Sourcing and fix your referencing so others don't have to do it for you. And as I've already asked countless times, please check your grammar, I understand English may not be your first language or something but you consistently say in when it should be on for example, so please be more careful --Lewisr (talk) 17:36, July 22, 2018 (UTC)

Please pay attention to what you're adding. You're pasting the entire link for the SW.com article, the template won't work if you paste the entire link, you need just to paste the part after the ""--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:16, July 22, 2018 (UTC)

Please don't add a spoiler tag to a page unless there are actually spoilers from that thing on their page, thanks! --Lewisr (talk) 00:09, July 25, 2018 (UTC)

Hello, whilst I see what you're adding to the various legends pages, I'd say its only necessary if there was some sort of prior attempts, which there hasn't been really. Also many of the pages haven't really been edited in any significant way in a few years and are somewhat unlikely to be, thanks for understanding --Lewisr (talk) 00:05, July 29, 2018 (UTC)

Information coming from leaks its not acceptable to add. Do not post anything that comes from a leak, only officially released material is accepted.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 20:48, August 24, 2018 (UTC)

Before going ahead an add something for a BTS check what you're adding, you're crediting pages that aren't the real source. If Slashfilm is summarizing an EW article then go to the EW article and use that one. If an online article is describing the audio commentary for TFA, then use the audio commentary as source.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:28, August 28, 2018 (UTC)

Hello. Please stop adding periods to every image caption you see. Image captions are only to be punctuated by a full stop if the caption is a complete sentence, per site site policy. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 22:13, August 28, 2018 (UTC)

Because they even talk about Rey in third person, Poe or Rey were not present durng the 1st Death Star, The colors blue and orange and at the end the comic goes to both BB-8 and R2-D2 and C-3PO says stop talking, while Rey is away reading the Jedi texts.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 21:18, September 2, 2018 (UTC)

Cool it with the edit summary hysterics, huh? Edit summaries are meant to be simple notations documenting the change you're making to the page so that if someone ever needs to go through an article's edit history they can quickly see and understand what a particular edit was. Edit summaries don't require overenthusiastic outbursts of excitement and emotionalism. Keep it simple, keep it encyclopedic. In other words, "Just the facts, ma'am." Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 00:18, September 17, 2018 (UTC)

Stop spamming talk pages. Post in the Senate Hall if you want exposure for the interview request. Thanks. 1358 (Talk) 00:02, October 28, 2018 (UTC)

There's no point in spamming the talk pages of seemingly random editors to highlight an interview request. Like I said, you can start a thread in the Senate Hall (since Wookieepedia:Interviews is kind of hidden), and if there are users who happen to be big Zahn fans, you could contact them on their talk page. But posting indiscriminately is in no way appropriate. Also, please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. Thanks. 1358 (Talk) 21:05, October 29, 2018 (UTC)

Seems like you got blocked for asking people via talk pages and ignoring warnings to stop, so sorry. I'll see if I can think of any. Please create a senate hall thread for it when you come back though-I feel that would probably be better given the above administrative message. Fan26 () 00:30, October 28, 2018 (UTC)

Hello. As you have been told before, please sign your comments with . Thank you. Imperators II 08:24, October 30, 2018 (UTC)

Hi X9, please stop adding random comments to the article's BTS sections, for example the Lee-Char ones. They don't add anything to the BTS of that characters, its just something that Leland tweeted, just because it comes from him doesn't mean it needs to be there. Just add important BTS info, if the information really adds relevant information to the article, then go ahead and add it, but adding that a song may not be Lee-Char's favorite its irrelevant to the BTS, its just a comment. Also please use the edit summaries to just say something important. There's a couple of standard summaries messages that you can pick, but you don't need to write one every single edit you make like "Added Mr. Juritzen's birthdate ;" or "Cursive ;", if its really important to share then feel free to write one, but its really not necessary to add one to everything. Thanks--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:53, November 3, 2018 (UTC)

Whilst he is probably implying that, it doesn't actually say it. If you can provide where he is actually saying he's shooting for Star Wars 9 then feel free to add it back --Lewisr (talk) 21:36, November 14, 2018 (UTC)

Is there an actual source that says genocide? If you can't provide the source the page will just be deleted --Lewisr (talk) 22:45, November 21, 2018 (UTC)

I think this is what you were asking. For behind the scenes you can source articles.--Afilmfanforlife (talk) 03:11, November 25, 2018 (UTC)

When making pages for things that haven't been released, please put actually use the source that provides where the information comes from. Age of Republic: Qui-Gon Jinn 1 hasn't yet come out so we can't source to it, hence why things are sourced to previews etc. --Lewisr (talk) 00:38, November 30, 2018 (UTC)

Hey X9, just so you know, you really need to start signing your messages on user talk and article talk pages. If you have questions, I'll be happy to answer, but to explain it clearly, that just means four tildes (~~~~) after the message. Fan26 () 16:08, December 1, 2018 (UTC)

Hi X9. While I understand you were trying to be helpful in updating FN-3181, for future reference it's generally considered polite to contact the nominator of a status article before making large scale edits to it. I've re-worded your first edit and reverted your second as the pin number tweet was clearly a joke. I'll update the article more myself if needed after seeing the film. Ayrehead02 (talk) 00:48, December 3, 2018 (UTC)

Vandals and other disruptors should be warned using a warning template prior to bringing them to the administration's attention. In this case, on the vandal's talk page would've been appropriate. If they persist, you should use IRC or Wookieepedia:Vandalism in progress to report them. There's no guarantee any single administrator is online at a given moment, so it's usually pointless to use their talk pages. Hope this helps. 1358 (Talk) 21:09, December 5, 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I saw you added the behind the scenes note and appearance in Star Wars: The Original Trilogy – A Graphic Novel to the TK-9091 page. Without having checked the source material myself, should that not be considered instead a composite character who is separate from both TK-9091 and Tarvyn Lareka? That is how their Legends entries deal with a similar sounding case in Classic Star Wars: A New Hope. Thanks! Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 15:24, December 11, 2018 (UTC)

X9, you were one of the few who thought this page should be up. I was able to find the nuts and bolts when I first made that page and can trace as early to after Vader's first fight with him in the first book and the first issue of Vader. I don't know how to make a forum that's up to this wikia's standards but with your help we could take it to the Senate Hall bring it back and make it better than it was before.

please?--Rgilbert27 (talk) 07:55, December 18, 2018 (UTC)

Well an admin posted here on their reasoning for deleting it before 'An entertainment website reporting something doesn't count as an official source of in-universe information and thus should not be used as the basis for the creation of an article. Information only becomes official when Disney/Lucasfilm directly confirms it.' Someone reporting that someone said something doesn't make it official and its best to wait until something official comes from Disney or Lucasfilm --Lewisr (talk) 14:36, December 22, 2018 (UTC)

Hello, whilst English might be not your first language, its kind of ridiculous that I've have to ask you 4 times now to check your grammar before publishing edits. For example, its not 'along Eeth Koth' its 'along with Eeth Koth'. Please take more care in future --Lewisr (talk) 16:31, December 24, 2018 (UTC)

Thank you! Generally those editorial articles aren't considered canon sources because they're written from an OOU perspective, and its just someone on StarWars.com writing something to make an article, I'm pretty sure even the author would say it shouldn't be used as a canon source. Those articles are different because they're actually tied to canon sources and not just someone filling out an article with something, hope this helps --Lewisr (talk) 15:18, January 8, 2019 (UTC)

Please don't ever remove the "noinclude" tags found on the real-world date pages as you did here. Those need to be on these pages, or else it breaks the Main Page. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 05:08, February 8, 2019 (UTC)

Please stop adding redlinks of real-world people to date articles like this. In addition to these redlinks being utterly unsightly for the Main Page (the content of these calendar date articles are programmed to appear on the Main Page, if you haven't figured that out yet), they are essentially unverified information, since you aren't even bothering to create the articles for them and verify their authenticity. If you continue to do this, you may be blocked from editing by an administrator. Thank you for your cooperation. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 03:54, March 28, 2019 (UTC)

Please don't remove information from an article without giving a reason in the edit summary, and please note appearances for yet-to-be released products require a source. Thank you. Tommy Macaroni 15:50, April 13, 2019 (UTC)

Hey, I'm not an admin so I can't move the page back. needs to be deleted first in order to move Cere back there. I suggest contacting an admin to speed this process up.--Vitus Infinitus 13:46, April 14, 2019 (UTC)

Sorry about that.--Rgilbert27 (talk) 20:42, April 14, 2019 (UTC)

Cali Nelle is listed as being a stuntman for Solo: A Star Wars Story and that is obviously him, it looks exactly like him. CrimsonChaos99 (talk) 21:05, May 2, 2019 (UTC)

Can you point me, where's this supposedly indirect mention of Quist in A New Dawn?--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 05:31, May 5, 2019 (UTC)

The sith lady you keep adding to sith page isn't real so doesn't belong on the page. Please stop adding her LordMomin (talk) 12:47, May 8, 2019 (UTC)

Read the Layout Guide concerning image caption punctuation:

The image caption in question on the Knights of Ren article uses a complete sentence, so stop removing the period. JRT2010 (talk) 03:25, June 2, 2019 (UTC)

Nothing is confirmed until its officially announced by Disney or Lucasfilm. So until that point, please don't make a page for the series/ or anything like that --Lewisr (talk) 21:55, August 18, 2019 (UTC)

"Adam didn't screenshot the tweet for nothing and it's necessary to add it so further Star Wars authors can know that they can reference the Ewoks movies. Fans must known that the Ewoks films could still be canon" First of all, as I said is unncessary. Everything can end up being canon so its nonsense to add to every single article. "SW Author if you're reading this, you can canonize this". Second of all, we don't need to tell "fans" what could be canon, if it ends up being then we can mention where the concept originated. Third of all, just because there's a screenshot doesn't mean its "important"--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 20:19, August 19, 2019 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for 1 week for continuing to add information without providing the source yourself. This isn't the first time you leave to someone else to add the source or image to articles. You are responsable for your own edits and you can't depend on someone else for adding stuff for you, either contact someone beforehand or upload or source the information yourself. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. DarthRuiz30 (talk) 03:18, August 24, 2019 (UTC)

Once again I remind, you can't create 32 ABY and source it directly to A Crash of Fate. Crash of Fate never mentions in the book 32 ABY, instead you need to copy the reference found in Julen Rakab's mother explaing why its 32 ABY and add it here. This is part of the reason of why you got blocked, source the information correctly. Thanks--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 02:34, September 1, 2019 (UTC)

The point of having a template is to use it and therefore we don't need to put c. Please take this onboard, thanks --Lewisr (talk) 00:59, September 3, 2019 (UTC)

Hey, X9! Sorry for the late response. The decision to remove non–Star Wars material was made at the Mofference back in May, and the idea there was to stay within Wookieepedia's scope and manage real-world status articles better (here's the transcription). Articles like Cushing will probably be reduxed sooner or later. I wasn't able to attend that Mofference, and I don't entirely agree with the vote either, but it's 15-0-0, so I wouldn't count on a reversal happening. The proposal was made by Toprawa, so I'd reach out to him or go on IRC if you've got any questions about it. - Cwedin 19:43, September 10, 2019 (UTC)

Hi X9. Do you have a source for this info? Thanks, Fan26 () 15:36, September 11, 2019 (UTC)

Please pay better attention to your grammar when editing, this isn't the first time you've been called out on this. While English may not be your native language, when adding content to articles you're expected to make sure all the grammar and spelling are correct. Fan26 () 00:59, September 19, 2019 (UTC)

Hello, you added here that Obi-Wan is mentioned in Vader Immortal, can you please say when abouts it is? --Lewisr (talk) 17:05, September 22, 2019 (UTC)

Hey, since they're a publication/magazine at an official Lucasfilm event (Triple Force Friday Global Reveal Launch) and the information is intended for the public, I don't believe this counts as a leak, but rather as official information. I believe the reason why it's not on starwars.com is because they are descriptions for costumes rather than merchandise. I would still ask others before continuing though. Hope this helps!--Vitus Infinitus 02:19, September 27, 2019 (UTC)

Whoops! Didn't know The Asset already existed. Apologies, and thanks for cleaning that up. — Hunter Kahn 17:45, November 12, 2019 (UTC)

We have fully protected pages in the past (there was a TLJ spoiler lockdown, I don't remember if the applied to TFA) and we will also apply a spoiler lockdown for TROS, presumably in the days leading up to the release Does that answer your question? 1358 (Talk) 10:52, November 15, 2019 (UTC)

Hello. This is to remind you that, per our Sourcing policy, permanent archival (backup) link must always be added to external citations, such as the ones you're adding to articles. Thank you for your cooperation. Imperators II 09:39, November 22, 2019 (UTC)

The moviespoiler template is for things that originated in TROS, so Snap/Anakin etc don't need it on their pages. We should only add the spoiler template if there are actually stuff from the film on their page --Lewisr (talk) 17:49, December 15, 2019 (UTC)

That page doesn't seem to load for me, but here's a countdown timer that works. 1358 (Talk) 19:00, December 15, 2019 (UTC)

As you have been told before you need to add an explanation of why 112 BBY is mentioned in the TROS VD. Ignoring this can be considered adding speculation into articles and lead to a block. Thanks--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 22:14, December 24, 2019 (UTC)

If you had done it in the first place, like its supposed to be, then there is no issue. You do not need to use the D23 tweet timeline since we can work it out from the TROS visual guide, that's what you need to do --Lewisr (talk) 23:32, December 25, 2019 (UTC)

Do not leave rude messages to other users, especially when they're trying to let you know mistakes that you're doing. There's no "So that's it", you need to explain how you're getting that date. It doesn't matter is obvious you need to state everything so anyone can understand that date.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:35, December 25, 2019 (UTC)

Hello, please ensure you follow this new policy when you italise comics, so like this --Lewisr (talk) 17:59, January 8, 2020 (UTC)

Per the manual of style 'Do not include phrases like "his ultimate fate is unknown" or "what happened to the ship after that is a mystery."' So therefore we don't need to state that the fate of Vos post Order 66 is unknown, regardless of whether a source says that it is unknown. --Lewisr (talk) 00:19, January 17, 2020 (UTC)

The previous Databank was decanonized with the 2014 reboot and was replaced with the current canon Databank. TPM deleted scene does not appear in any current canon material and therefor is not canon --Korvas989 () 05:10, February 22, 2020 (UTC)

The release was official. Once again, it was published via a limited release (this does not mean unofficial. This means it is available for a short period, then unavailable until released again). It was not leaked by some random guy in Lucasfilm, it was officially published. --Potsk (talk) 23:07, March 6, 2020 (UTC)

Hello X9. I'm going to revert your edit about David Doak date of birth, since you used Wikipedia as a direct source. Wikipedia, as a community-driven (wiki) tertiary source (aka reference work/information agglomeration that isn't an original work), isn't a proper source to use as reference, and shouldn't be used outside of "External links". Per sourcing policies: Wookieepedia and other wiki-based articles and categories cannot be used as sources. However, Wikipedia is quite useful to find primary (original work) and secondary (critical work) sources, through their own references lists. In this case, I couldn't trace back the date of birth from any sources provided on WP David Doak article, so I didn't included it on our article. Same goes for any website whose content is provided by its community, like IMDB. I know I did the same mistakes a while ago, and I amended my ways since. We need to uphold OOU articles to the same level of quality than the rest of Wookiepedia. --NanoLuuke 18:04, March 10, 2020 (UTC)

Please make sure to backup any external links you use, there's a reason we started this project. UberSoldat93 (talk) 15:22, March 20, 2020 (UTC)

As I told you a few days ago, "we need to uphold OOU articles to the same level of quality than the rest of Wookiepedia.", and the very first and unavoidable step to that is proper sourcing, as per our policy. You created a page for Elizabeth Rodriguez, and thank you for that, but all information added to Wookieepedia need to be sourced, including the infobox, with the use of <ref></ref> and proper citation (and proper backup, of course). That's why I added the verify template on the page. --NanoLuuke 15:44, March 20, 2020 (UTC)

Regarding Elizabeth Rodriguez, and OOU people in general, what you are making is an assumption, based on community-managed websites (Wikipedia, IMDB, etc). As you might have noticed on Wookieepedia, we ask that any information is referenced and sourced so that anyone can check for themselves that the information is true (the verifiability principle). For that, you need access to the original document. Here, Rodriguez date of birth is supposedly December 27, 1980, but you need to to prove it. The wikipedia page is not perfect as the infobox doesn't feature a reference, but the page introduction does, and it lead us to the Internet Broadway Database (IBDB). Unlike IMDB, the IBDB content is completely managed by a professional staff, and could be considered as a trusted source, based on what we can read on the about page. Always check the "about" page to make sure you are dealing with something that can be trusted. What you need to do is use this page as a source for the date and place of birth. Please, in the future, be sure to do this for any OOU people article. If you fail to find a proper source via Wikipedia, you can always google "name date of birth" until you find a proper source to use for citation. And if you don't find a proper source, then don't add the dubious information, since it wouldn't be verifiable. I cannot insist more about how important this is.

For Rosario Dawson, while I would advise to wait a bit on that, as the information for her doing the part of Ahsoka need to come from a strong source (I believe from what I've read on Twitter that THR and ABC are on the case), from what I see on Wikipedia and on the website itself, you could use Biography.com for date and place of birth. Hope that helped, but if you need some clarification, please don't hesitate to send me a message on my talk page. --NanoLuuke 20:55, March 20, 2020 (UTC)

Hello! Regarding this page that you have created, may I ask that you confirm that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary states that this was a prophecy of the Sith Eternal? Another user first brought a similar question up on the article's talk page, and I believe it would be best to refer to the more detailed question there. Thanks! - - - OOM 224 ༼༽{talk}༼༽ 17:59, March 23, 2020 (UTC)

Hello X9. Please, don't forget to use a proper Internet citation templates when adding links from the internet. Just putting a nude link isn't permitted. Next time take the time to do it. Thanks. --NanoLuuke 18:00, April 15, 2020 (UTC)

I notice you have a habit of changing possessive pipelinking so that it actually goes against what the policy dictates, as exampled here just now. Per the manual of style things are supposed to be [[Anakin Skywalker|Darth Vader's]], not [[Anakin Skywalker|Darth Vader]]'s as you do. Please follow the policy. --Lewisr (talk) 01:02, April 18, 2020 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for 1 month, for continuing to add information without attribution. This is being lenient, as we shouldn't have to keep after you for this for months. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. Darth Culator 11:31, April 24, 2020 (UTC)

To do it properly, you need to produce a source (either a book title or an url) as a reference. For links, make sure those are not from crowdsourced (=community driven) websites (Imbd, Wikipedia, MobyGames). Remember that Wikipedia can still be useful to find primary sources in their own references. Lastly, try to use urls with the right Internet citation templates. And in doubt, you can always consult our sourcing/attribution policies, and ask around. Follow those advices and you should be good ;) . --NanoLuuke 09:17, July 1, 2020 (UTC)

Hello. Please be more careful with your wording when issuing a warning or messaging your fellow Wookieepedians, including those who have vandalized the site, and if necessary, use the generic vandalism template. This message you left was a little harsh and impolite given the circumstances, so please stay civil to everybody on Wookieepedia. Thanks! 06:08, July 6, 2020 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for 1 week for continual and repeated failure to add backup links to your external-link citations, which is a requirement of Wookieepedia:Sourcing#Rules, item 10. You have been warned for this several times already, and this is your fifth block in the past two years for either violating consensus or improper attribution. Considering that, I think this is an extremely lenient block duration, so consider this your final warning. The next time this happens, I would say you can expect a significantly longer break from editing. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 20:10, July 27, 2020 (UTC)

Hello. Please be careful of what you add since the X-Wing Miniatures Second Edition Wiki appears to have copied the information from the Legends page and isn't actually canon information. The only canon info we know is that served as the bodyguard of Prince Xizor, a Falleen kingpin of Black Sun. Thank you. 04:30, August 5, 2020 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for 3 months, for continuing to add citations without backup links despite so many previous warnings and blocks. Tope said upon your last block you should expect a longer one next time, and as you clearly haven't learnt, I hope a 3-month break from editing will allow you to understand the severity of your constant violation of our policies. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. TommyMacaroni 17:04, September 2, 2020 (UTC)

I realize you are currently blocked as I issue you this message, but this is another warning to you regarding the removal of HTML tags from real-world date articles as you have once again done here. I have warned you before about not doing this. This isn't an insignificant matter. Those tags are there so that the information on these pages present correctly on the Main Page, which is Wookieepedia's single-most viewed page by our readers. So when you remove them, you're literally breaking the Main Page. Although it's my opinion that you deserve to have your current block extended due to your sheer recklessness and failure to listen, I'm going to refrain from doing so. But rest assured if you do this again, your next block length won't be light. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 01:46, October 4, 2020 (UTC)

Hi. We don't really have a citation format for physical documentation outside of official publications. Something I plan to correct in the future. For the time being, try to format it that way , so it's coherent with Cite_web:

Last, First Name. (YYYY-MM-DD) or (Month Year). Article title. Publication, issue number. ––NanoLuuke 21:30, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi X9!

The {{verify}} template (on the context of an OOU article) means that the page is missing either a Bibliography section or an External Links section, depending either if the sources are from physical/official or online (non-official) publications. See the Layout Guide/Out-of-universe for details about what is expected from those sections.

To cite a magazine, either use one of the Magazine citation templates or {{BookCite}}. Be sure to read the documentation on the later.

Also, quick reminder that to properly sign a message, you should use ~~~~ instead of manually signing it, otherwise, it won't produce a link to your talk page. --NanoLuuke 08:58, 11 July 2021 (UTC)

While your edit is appreciated, the page you just edited currently has a template called {{Inuse}} at the top. This template means that someone is currently working on improving the article, and to avoid edit conflicts, no one other than the placer of the template should edit the page while the message is visible. If you would like to notify someone of an issue with the article, feel free to leave a message on the article's talk page or join our Discord server. LucaRoR 16:15, 18 March 2022 (UTC)

References

  • Hi. On this site, categories, such as Category:Canceled content, are considered to be separate from articles, such as Boba Fett, and that is partially reflected in the way they are renamed. Articles can be renamed by moving (the "move" button) them to new titles, while categories do not have the "move" option and require the desired category to be created anew and then each link to the old category to be manually changed to the new category (which, in cases where there are many links to change, you can ask a user with a bot to do).

Overlinking & using Citeweb

Untitled Skywalker Novel

I have deleted the article for the untitled Skywalker novel because, as Menkooro correctly stated in the deletion request, the novel is purely hypothetical. It was never commissioned, or written at all. The correct place for such information is Timothy Zahn's article, where the information is currently located (although feel free to expanded upon the information there if need be). - Sir Cavalier of One 15:09, February 27, 2017 (UTC)

RE: Canon/Legends Separate Templates

Its really simple just add the {{Eras}} template for a canon article, for a legends articles you will need to add the terms like old, imp, reb that means the period of time in which the character appears but that's for legends only, if you have more question let me know. If you want to make a canon article just add like I said the {{Eras}} that should work. If you have more questions let me know--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 22:10, October 14, 2017 (UTC)

SW Blogs

Sadly, they completely gutted the fan-oriented website that SW.com used to be, and replaced it with an app-friendly interface. Also, Leland Chee has stopped communicating with fans about the Holocron or Indycron, and the new go-to guy is Pablo Hidalgo. Templates and answer

Hi, please at the moment of sourcing to a website use the template for it {{WebCite}} also at the moment of creating the references don't just write <ref> use <ref name=" "> Please. • Please heed the warnings on your talk page. Your edits to status articles (such as Finis Valorum, a Featured article) should be of higher quality than this. Creating pages

Hello, please don't make pages unless they've actually been named in a canon source, just because something appeared in a saga film or was cut from a film doesn't mean it gets a canon page. Edit summaries

In other words, "Just the facts, ma'am." BTS info and Edit summaries

Articles can't be sources for in universe info

I think this is what you were asking. For behind the scenes you can source articles.--Afilmfanforlife (talk) 03:11, November 25, 2018 (UTC)

  • The time otherwise is a rare case like . But like an otherwise random article written on Star Wars.com shouldn’t be a source.--Afilmfanforlife (talk) 03:32, November 25, 2018 (UTC)

Sourcing

FN-3181

Re: Trolling Users

Question about TK-9091

Hi, I saw you added the behind the scenes note and appearance in Star Wars: The Original Trilogy – A Graphic Novel to the TK-9091 page. Without having checked the source material myself, should that not be considered instead a composite character who is separate from both TK-9091 and Tarvyn Lareka? That is how their Legends entries deal with a similar sounding case in Classic Star Wars: A New Hope. Thanks! Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 15:24, December 11, 2018 (UTC)

Darth Vader's conspiracy

X9, you were one of the few who thought this page should be up. I was able to find the nuts and bolts when I first made that page and can trace as early to after Vader's first fight with him in the first book and the first issue of Vader. I don't know how to make a forum that's up to this wikia's standards but with your help we could take it to the Senate Hall bring it back and make it better than it was before.

35 ABY

Well an admin posted here on their reasoning for deleting it before 'An entertainment website reporting something doesn't count as an official source of in-universe information and thus should not be used as the basis for the creation of an article. Information only becomes official when Disney/Lucasfilm directly confirms it.' Someone reporting that someone said something doesn't make it official and its best to wait until something official comes from Disney or Lucasfilm --Lewisr (talk) 14:36, December 22, 2018 (UTC)

Twi'lek article as source

Unnecessary

Reminder

Once again I remind, you can't create 32 ABY and source it directly to A Crash of Fate. Crash of Fate never mentions in the book 32 ABY, instead you need to copy the reference found in Julen Rakab's mother explaing why its 32 ABY and add it here. This is part of the reason of why you got blocked, source the information correctly. Thanks--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 02:34, September 1, 2019 (UTC)

  • No worries, any time something isn't mentioned directly (speaking of dates) it needs an explanation as to why we're concluding its that date. Re: Non-SW biographies

Hey, since they're a publication/magazine at an official Lucasfilm event (Triple Force Friday Global Reveal Launch) and the information is intended for the public, I don't believe this counts as a leak, but rather as official information. Wikipedia as a source

  • Please make sure you backup external links, which you didn't do here. The sourcing policy states that you must include an permanent archival link when you cite an external link --Lewisr (talk) 17:51, July 8, 2020 (UTC)

Sourcing

As I told you a few days ago, "we need to uphold OOU articles to the same level of quality than the rest of Wookiepedia.", and the very first and unavoidable step to that is proper sourcing, as per our policy. You created a page for Elizabeth Rodriguez, and thank you for that, but all information added to Wookieepedia need to be sourced, including the infobox, with the use of <ref></ref> and proper citation (and proper backup, of course). That's why I added the verify template on the page. --NanoLuuke 15:44, March 20, 2020 (UTC)

  • I have removed the verify template, but you still need to reference properly the date and place of birth. Thank you. --NanoLuuke 17:28, March 20, 2020 (UTC)

RE: Rosario Dawson

RE:Listing Dates

RE: How to cite a magazine?
