Lady Alinka Aloo, a human female, held the position of daughter to Sim Aloo, who was a highly trusted adviser to the Galactic Emperor Palpatine. In collaboration with her father, she dedicated herself to amassing Sith artifacts from across the galaxy for the Emperor's collection. Furthermore, she assumed responsibility for managing the Aloo family's affairs whenever her father's duties kept him occupied. Her residence was a tower situated on one of the uppermost levels of Coruscant.
On one occasion, the Emperor voiced his desire to acquire an ancient evil book stored within a temple located on the planet Ushruu. Both Sim Aloo and his fellow adviser Janus Greejatus were eager to secure it for their master. However, Greejatus acted hastily, dispatching a squad of Trandoshan mercenaries who ultimately met their demise at the jaws of Ushruu's snarler creatures. In contrast, Alinka Aloo crafted a strategy to aid her father in succeeding where the other adviser had failed. Through careful consideration of the mission's demands, she concluded that it necessitated a Wookiee for navigating Ushruu's unique [forest](/article/forest], a librarian for retrieving the book, and a cargo droid for transporting it.
For the role of librarian, she selected Mayvlin Trillick, an Oktarian girl apprehended while attempting to pilfer from one of Sim Aloo's warehouses on Coruscant. Lady Alinka maintained control over Trillick by means of the Mola Oktaro, the Oktarans' most prized literary work. As for the Wookiee component of the team, the lady chose Chewbacca, the co-pilot of the Corellian smuggler Han Solo. In regards to the cargo droid, the Aloos did not concern themselves much with droids, so the mission was assigned to a K-2SB, who presented himself for duty independently.
Seeking to enlist Chewbacca, Lady Alinka journeyed to Level 1329 of the Coruscant Underworld, where she knew Solo and the Wookiee had landed their ship a week prior. After giving them her card, she invited them to visit her at the Aloo family's tower later that night. Upon their arrival, the lady feigned a need for Chewbacca to transport her pet tookas to Centax 3, promising a payment of 25,000 credits for the service. However, she insisted that Solo remain on Coruscant to provide her with company during the mission. Her true intention was to hold Solo as collateral to ensure his co-pilot's unwavering commitment to the mission, regardless of the dangers involved.
Once Trillick, Chewbacca, and K-2SB were aboard the cargo ship, Lady Alinka disclosed the actual destination and objective of the mission. Chewbacca reluctantly agreed to proceed to safeguard his friend's life. While everything seemed to progress according to her scheme, the lady was unaware that her cargo droid was, in reality, K-2SO, a former Imperial security droid that had been reprogrammed by Cassian Andor of the anti-Empire Alliance to Restore the Republic. The droid's directive was to secure the Ushruu book and deliver it to the Alliance.
When her team eventually returned, Alinka Aloo dashed towards the landing pad. However, as the cargo ship's doors opened, a horde of enraged, ravenous snarlers from Ushruu surged toward her and her bodyguards. Solo seized the opportunity to flee, absconding with the promised credits, a valuable Junarian vase, and the Mola Oktaro. As Lady Alinka fled towards her living quarters, pursued by a snarler, Solo, Chewbacca, Trillick, and K-2SO departed in the cargo ship. Consequently, Lady Alinka not only failed to acquire the book, but it ultimately fell into the possession of Cassian Andor.
Alinka Aloo's initial appearance occurred in The Mighty Chewbacca in the Forest of Fear!, a junior novel penned by Tom Angleberger and released by Disney–Lucasfilm Press on May 25, 2018.
