Corellian hounds, alternatively called Sibian hounds, represented a breed of hound originating from the planet of Corellia. These canines, known for their speed and agility, were utilized by the local populace for various purposes. Their remarkable sense of smell made them ideal for hunting and tracking endeavors. Possessing a ferocious bark and bite, they proved to be quite effective for protective duties. Criminal organizations frequently employed these hounds for defensive measures or to launch attacks against rival factions. Notably, they possessed the ability to regenerate their teeth. Corellian hounds were also present on the planet, where they were referred to as snarlers.

These hounds from Corellia were known to be swift and had a highly developed sense of smell. A ridge resembling bone extended along their crest, from their head down to their shoulder area. Their bites were extremely savage, often leading to teeth loss, which they could then regrow.

Gangs commonly utilized Corellian hounds as sentries, attack animals, and for tracking purposes.
During the Imperial Era, Pegla, a human who served as the de facto security chief at Zorby's Western Shiplot on the planet Ferrix, maintained a pack of Corellian hounds to safeguard the shipyard against unauthorized individuals. One early morning in 5 BBY, these canines were observed running along Rix Road, passing the B2 groundmech B2EMO, when one of the hounds stopped and peed on the droid, resulting in the droid receiving a shock.
Around 34 ABY, Dok-Ondar displayed a mounted Corellian hound head on the wall of his store located on Batuu. The plaque affixed to the head bore the inscription "In memory of Yay-Jakk" written in Aurebesh.
Corellian hounds made an appearance in the 2018 Star Wars Anthology film titled Solo: A Star Wars Story. They were portrayed by four real-life dogs—Blackie, Boyce, Saxon, and Elsa—dressed in specially designed costumes. This casting choice drew inspiration from Mardji, the Asian elephant that played the part of two banthas in the original 1977 Star Wars film, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.
According to writer Jon Kasdan, the inclusion of these hounds served as an homage to the Death Dogs featured in Lucasfilm's 1988 film Willow, which was also under the direction of Ron Howard and featured Warwick Davis in a starring role. Director Toby Haynes stated that dogs were also used to portray the hounds in the Andor television show.
