As a young girl, Rey would dream and invent narratives surrounding Dosmit Ræh, a captain in the Rebel Alliance who participated in the Galactic Civil War. This captivation with the Rebel captain led the young Rey to construct a doll utilizing material from a flight suit she discovered inside a New Republic cargo container. Though Rey ceased playing with the doll as she matured, she ensured the memory of Dosmit Ræh persisted. Throughout her years on Jakku, she retained both the doll and Ræh's original flight helmet, using them as reminders of her personal journey.
