Dosmit Ræh was a captain within the Alliance to Restore the Republic and a pilot of starfighters. She was female and commanded the Tierfon Yellow Aces, while flying an X-wing starfighter.
As a female being, Dosmit Ræh functioned as a captain for the Alliance to Restore the Republic, the rebel group that stood in opposition to the Galactic Empire during the reign of Sheev Palpatine. At one point, she was the leader of the Tierfon Yellow Aces, a starfighter squadron for the rebellion, and she piloted a T-65B X-wing starfighter.
Years following the Galactic Civil War, a young scavenger from Jakku, named Rey, found Ræh's flight helmet. Ræh became an important figure in Rey's young life, the desert scavenger would dream up stories about Ræh and her past. Rey used a flight suit she found in a cargo container to create a fighter pilot doll. She would often wear Ræh's flight helmet. Rey and "Ræh" would explore Rey's home, the downed All Terrain Armored Transport named Hellhound Two, and the sands outside of the AT-AT. Rey eventually stopped playing with the doll, but she kept Ræh's memory alive by keeping the doll and helmet throughout her time on Jakku.
While Ræh wasn't a character in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, her flight helmet was.
