Alliance Records Office

The Alliance Records Office was maintained by the Rebel Alliance on the celestial body Fusai during the Imperial Era. The protocol droid C-3PO stated that tasks performed at this records office included translating and data processing.

C-3PO learned from a rebel R5 astromech droid unit around 0 ABY that the Fusai office needed protocol droid personnel. Following an attack on the Alliance's Sunspot Prison in the Outer Rim that year, C-3PO informed the astromech R2-D2 of his intention to request a transfer to the Fusai records office, considering the work there safer and more appropriate for his skills. R2-D2 then inquired if he could accompany C-3PO, but the protocol droid explained that there were no available positions for astromechs at that location.

Behind the scenes

The canon Star Wars universe includes a mention of the Alliance Records Office in the nineteenth issue of the Star Wars comic series from 2015. Jason Aaron wrote this issue, which Marvel Comics published on May 25, 2016.

Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Rebel Alliance operated a library on the planet Fusai as a stronghold. This library contained the BRT supercomputer known as Mistress Mnemos and initially appeared in the comic story "Gambler's World." Russ Manning both wrote and illustrated this story, which was published between March 12 and September 8, 1979 as a daily Star Wars comic strip distributed to major newspapers in America and Canada by the Los Angeles Times Syndicate from 1979 until 1984.
