Plot Summary

Within the confines of Sunspot Prison, the mysterious intruder manages to subdue both Han Solo and Luke Skywalker, rendering them helpless. Princess Leia demands that the intruder release her companions. Sana Starros comments on how the intruder makes them appear foolish, while Dr Chelli Lona Aphra expresses astonishment at their continued survival.

Still hoping to sway Princess Leia to his side, the intruder presents her with a final opportunity to pledge her allegiance. He threatens to eliminate her friends if she refuses. Leia proposes disarming herself by putting down her blaster to facilitate a discussion, but he insists that she execute the Imperial prisoner Dr. Aphra. Leia refuses to comply with the intruder's demands, but Sana, seeking to settle a personal score with her former acquaintance, aims her blaster at Aphra.

The intruder claims to Leia that he is a product of her actions, stating that she was responsible for sending him to them. Subsequently, he removes his mask, revealing himself to be Eneb Ray, the survivor of the ill-fated Arrth-Eno Mission. Leia informs Eneb that he was once one of the Rebel Alliance's most skilled spies and that they had been searching for him since the events that transpired on Coruscant. Eneb reveals that the Emperor's influence is slowly killing him, and Leia offers her assistance.

Eneb dismisses her offer, asserting that he doesn't require assistance and instructing her to save her friends by eliminating Dr. Aphra. As he begins counting down from five, Sana Starros maintains her aim on Aphra. Leia rejects Eneb's ultimatum and launches an attack against him. Simultaneously, C-3PO and R2-D2 overhear the commotion in the hangar bay just before being incapacitated by an ion pulse, which also affects the Millennium Falcon.

As the station's gravity fails, Starros and Aphra engage in combat, while Leia grapples with Eneb. Believing that their end is near, Luke tells Leia that his last memory will be herding nerfs. In the zero-gravity environment, Starros gains the upper hand over Aphra and begins to choke her. Aphra apologizes for her betrayal of Starros, comparing it to a blaster. Enraged, Starros throws Aphra into Eneb, knocking him down and preventing him from strangling Leia. With the assistance of the other women, Leia subdues Ray.

Following the arrival of Rebel reinforcements, the prison's systems are restored. The surviving Imperial prisoners and rebel personnel are evacuated, and the deceased are recovered in body bags. The warden expresses gratitude to Leia for her assistance in saving some of the prisoners but notes that one is missing. Dr. Aphra makes her way to an escape pod only to be confronted by Princess Leia.

Dr. Aphra argues that she saved Leia's life on five separate occasions, but Leia reminds her that she remains a prisoner. When Aphra offers to behave, Leia warns her that the situation is not a game and that she fails to grasp the danger posed by Darth Vader, who will discard her once she is no longer useful. Leia offers Aphra a chance to seek her help. Before their conversation can continue, Starros slams Aphra into the escape pod and ejects her into space.

When Leia inquires about how long it will take for Aphra to discover the trackers they concealed in her clothing, Starros jokes about finding the ones she hid on their ship. Leia then questions Starros about her relationship with Aphra, but Starros declines to discuss it. As the two shift their focus to discussing bounty hunting fees, Aphra pilots the escape pod away from the sun.

In the hangar bay, C-3PO reveals to R2-D2 his plan to request a transfer to the Alliance records office on Fusai, where he would work on translations and data processing. However, he informs R2-D2 that there are no available positions for "mop buckets." Han and Luke agree to avoid discussing the gambling incident. Starros remarks that they are inept at rescues and that Luke is too young to be speaking to him. She is overwhelmed by the odor of the nerfs aboard the Falcon.

As Eneb Ray is escorted away, Leia assures him that she will ensure he receives the help he needs, regardless of his resistance. While departing Sunspot prison, Ray utilizes an unlocking device disguised as a dental implant to break free from his restraints. He pledges to exact revenge on his former leader, Leia. Several days later, the Task Force 99 stormtroopers Cav, Kreel, and Misty arrive at the evacuated prison in search of Kolar Ludd. Kreel informs them that they have been assigned a new mission and asks his men if they are prepared to eliminate some rebels.
