Amaiza was once in business with Jaxxon T. Tumperakki, and they were also romantically linked. She maintained several safehouses on Valtos, one of which was a hideout situated near Tovey's Cantina.
Jaxxon was accompanied by Amaiza to meet with their contact, Queen Prizzi of Livorno, to hand over a case of valuable eggs to Princess Leia Organa of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. However, the WUD-500 star yacht Rabbit's Foot, Jaxxon's ship, experienced a malfunction in its engine and crash-landed. Foxtrain expressed her displeasure, insisting that Jaxxon repair the vessel or their partnership would dissolve. She then proceeded to meet with Prizzi, escorting her back to the crash site along with the eggs, and coerced the hesitant Jaxxon into transporting them by threatening to enlist the help of Han Solo instead. Their plans were disrupted by Imperial stormtroopers, and amidst the ensuing firefight, Amaiza seized the eggs and replaced them with eggs containing aggressive, bat-like creatures. Jaxxon and Prizzi departed, unaware of Foxtrain's deception, only to discover the betrayal when the fake eggs hatched.
Amaiza transported the genuine eggs to the Wheel space station for an auction, where several potential buyers were present, including undercover Imperials who initiated another gun battle. However, Jaxxon was also working undercover, revealing his presence by attacking the Imperial agents and releasing Amaiza's bats upon her as retribution. While she defended herself against the vicious creatures, Jaxxon made off with the real eggs and escaped to the Rebel Alliance. After meeting with Organa and Solo, Jaxxon discovered that the eggs were not the actual lost eggs of Livorno; they were merely decoys used to attract Imperial attention while Solo secretly smuggled the real eggs aboard the Millennium Falcon.
Following the incident at the Wheel, which ended her business relationship with Jaxxon, Amaiza pilfered a stash of Imperial transit chips, resulting in a bounty being placed on her head. She formed an alliance with Reegor, one of Jaxxon's numerous cousins, in hopes that the Imperials would pursue Jaxxon instead while she remained hidden. Han Solo and Luke Skywalker informed Jaxxon of this development after he managed to escape from Dengar and the Scram Gang on Rekelos.
Jaxxon located Reegor on Valtos and disguised himself as his own cousin to deceive Amaiza. Although she granted him entry to her hideout, Foxtrain recognized his disguise and held him at blaster-point. He then revealed that he was carrying a tracker, which led stormtroopers and Dengar to the hideout. As Amaiza fought off the intruders, Jaxxon gathered the transit chips and outsmarted the Imperials by surrounding them with many of his cousins, all impersonating Jaxxon himself. Despite Jaxxon's escape, Amaiza was captured by Dengar, who intended to claim the bounty on her.
While in Cloud City in 3 ABY, Jaxxon led Lando Calrissian to believe that stolen hypercoils from the Corsair, which Maz Kanata believed Lando had stolen, ended up in the power core of the Rabbit's Foot thanks to Amaiza, from whom he was still estranged.
