A droid mechanic of the female persuasion resided in the apartment adjacent to the Milon family's on Level 3204 of Coruscant when the planet Alderaan was subjected to destruction. In the years leading up to this cataclysmic event, she provided childcare for the Milon's oldest daughter, Anandra Milon. Her father gifted her a B-14 airspeeder – her very first airspeeder – which he discovered abandoned by a Mon Calamari family displaced by the Galactic Empire during the riots in the Old Market Sector. Following Alderaan's annihilation, when the Imperials began detaining or relocating Alderaanians, triggering unrest on Level 3204, the mechanic shared her knowledge of the Mon Calamari's prior displacement with Anandra. When Anandra and her brother Santigo Milon subsequently evaded Imperial forces by hiding in the container of a re-purposed cleaning droid, she believed the mechanic was responsible for sending it to aid them. The mechanic was characterized by her blonde hair and a noticeably chipped front tooth.
The initial reference to the droid mechanic appeared in "One Thousand Levels Down," a short story authored by Alexander Freed and featured in issue 151 of Star Wars Insider in 2014. The story did not reveal her name or species.
