Ansibella Dellu

Ansibella Dellu, hailing from Raxus Secundus, was an artist. During her time at Reena University, she held a position in student government and created a poster to promote a lecture series given by Count Dooku, a former Jedi Master known for his criticism of the Galactic Republic. Dooku would later establish the Confederacy of Independent Systems and wage war against the Republic in the Clone Wars, leading Dellu to join the Separatist Parliament as a member and oversee Separatist shadowfeeds within Republic space. Ultimately, Dellu surrendered to the Republic, which transformed into the Galactic Empire at the war's conclusion, resulting in her being labeled an enemy of the state.

Biography

Dellu's work-in-progress poster, Count Dooku: Words of Truth

Ansibella Dellu, an artist originating from the planet Raxus Secundus, held views critical of the Core Worlds' politics. Sometime between 42 BBY and 22 BBY, while serving as a student government official at Reena University, Dellu developed a poster entitled Count Dooku: Words of Truth. This poster served as an advertisement for a series of lectures held at the university's Panos Lecture Hall by Count Dooku, the leader of the Independent Movement for Self-Determination and a former Jedi Master. According to the poster, Dooku represented a "voice of reason" amidst the "corruption and bureaucracy" plaguing the Galactic Republic.

As the Separatist Crisis intensified, with Dooku encouraging numerous star systems to secede from the Republic, the count and his allies established the Confederacy of Independent Systems and initiated armed conflict against the Republic, thus beginning the Clone Wars in 22 BBY. Dellu became a member of the Separatist Parliament and took on the responsibility of overseeing the Separatist shadowfeeds operating within Republic space. These [propaganda](/article/propaganda] broadcasts utilized the HoloNet to disseminate information regarding the Confederacy's battlefield successes and alleged war crimes committed by the Republic.

Before the Clone Wars reached their conclusion, Dellu surrendered to the Republic, which underwent a transformation into the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY following the Separatists' defeat. Under the new galactic regime, Dellu was branded an enemy of the state; however, a rare copy of the former senator's unfinished poster, Count Dooku: Words of Truth, managed to survive the loyalty purges conducted by the Imperial Security Bureau. Around 34 ABY, shortly after the Hosnian Cataclysm, this piece of Dellu's artwork was included in A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy, a book that compiled a variety of propaganda items spanning from the era of the Republic to the Resistance.
