The Aradonti Ravine represented a break in the continuous urban development, the ecumenopolis, that enveloped the entire surface of the planet Coruscant. Its location was southwest of the Federal District on the planet, in proximity to the Collective Commerce District. During the period of the Clone Wars, it served as the location for Ziro's Palace, a nightclub owned and operated by the crime lord Ziro Desilijic Tiure, which was built into the side of the ravine.
In the year 22 BBY, Senator Padmé Amidala piloted her personal J-type Naboo star skiff through the Aradonti Ravine. She subsequently landed on the designated platform outside Ziro's Palace to meet with Ziro and request his assistance. Following Amidala's capture by Ziro, C-3PO, her assigned protocol droid, journeyed through the ravine aboard the senator's H-type Nubian yacht with Clone Commander CC-1010, known as "Fox," and a squad of Coruscant Guard clone troopers. They landed on the same platform previously used by Amidala and then launched a raiding operation on the palace, resulting in Ziro's arrest and Amidala's subsequent rescue.
The first on-screen appearance of Aradonti's Ravine was in the 2008 theatrical release, Star Wars: The Clone Wars film. Its formal identification occurred in the 2018 reference publication Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, authored by Pablo Hidalgo.
