Asha Fahn
Asha Fahn, also known by the moniker "Red Ghost," was a female Ewok hailing from the Bright Tree tribe located on the forest moon of Endor. Alongside Teebo, she stood out as one of Chief Chirpa's most skilled hunters. When Chirpa made the choice to support the Rebel Alliance in their struggle against the Galactic Empire, both Asha and Teebo voiced their approval, effectively nullifying the dissenting opinion of Logray, the tribe's shaman. The following morning, Asha, Chirpa, and Teebo spearheaded the Ewoks who were fit to fight into the depths of the woods, leaving the younger and older members of the tribe behind in the village. During the Ewoks' assault on the Empire's bunker, Asha commanded the tribe's most formidable warriors. She and her unit descended from the bunker's summit, and the huntress swiftly eliminated an Imperial officer with her blade, preventing him from issuing commands to his soldiers. Following the Battle of Endor's triumph both on the planet's surface and in space, Asha participated in the celebratory festivities held in Bright Tree Village.
Behind the scenes
Asha Fahn's reintroduction to canon occurred through the novel Return of the Jedi: Beware the Power of the Dark Side!, an adaptation of the 1983 motion picture Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. Tom Angleberger authored this novel, which was released on September 22, 2015. The Ewok's first visual depiction followed in the first issue of the comic book miniseries Star Wars: Ewoks, penned by Steve Orlando with illustrations by Laura Braga and Álvaro López, and published by Marvel Comics on October 9, 2024.
Within the Legends continuity, the Ewok huntress, known solely as Asha, initially surfaced in the thirteenth episode of the first season of the Ewoks animated TV series. Raymond Jafelice directed the episode, Paul Dini wrote it, and it was broadcast on November 30, 1985. Dini, as the writer, specifically conceived Asha for the animated series.
