Attempted kidnapping of Queen Amidala

Shortly before the Blockade of Naboo, a clandestine scheme unfolded: the Trade Federation secretly employed mercenaries to attempt an abduction of Queen Amidala, the sovereign of Naboo. Under the guise of negotiations, the Federation lured the Queen of Naboo to a secluded region of space. Upon the royal delegation's arrival, the mercenaries launched their assault. Prevented from executing a safe jump to hyperspace, the royal starship sought refuge within an asteroid field, while Bravo Flight pilots Essara Till and Rhys Dallows bravely defended against successive waves of mercenary starfighters. Ultimately, Queen Amidala successfully escaped to hyperspace, leaving the Bravo pilots behind.

The attempt

Sometime prior to the Naboo Invasion, Queen Amidala agreed to a negotiation with the Trade Federation in a distant sector of space. As the Royal starship neared the Federation ship, three mercenary ships rapidly approached. The Trade Federation battleship immediately made the jump to hyperspace, but the Naboo delegation was not as fast. Bravo pilots Essara Till and Rhys Dallows were tasked with protecting the Royal starship until it could jump to hyperspace. Till directed Dallows to focus his attacks on the Daggers. Following the initial trio of starfighters, the mercenaries launched waves of Daggers, succeeded by waves of MorningStars. During the engagement, the Queen's starship sought cover in a nearby asteroid field.

Just as the Royal starship was prepared to jump to hyperspace, a wing of Dianogas emerged from the asteroids, obstructing the ship's escape path. Dallows engaged the new starfighters, allowing the Royal starship to finally escape. After the Queen's escape, a MorningStar approached from behind and fired upon Dallows. Till intervened to shoot down the MorningStar. At that moment, the leader of the mercenaries made his presence known. He swiftly shot down Till and disabled Dallows using his craft's missiles before departing.

Aftermath

Rhys Dallows was later discovered by the Toydarian Reti while he was scavenging for parts. Together, they located Essara's body within the wreckage of her starfighter. Dallows and Reti subsequently joined forces with the mercenary Vana Sage and the pirate Nym to oppose the Trade Federation.
