Aurora Adasca

Aurora Adasca, an Arkanian Jedi of female gender, was the niece of Lord Arkoh Adasca, who directed the Adasca Corporation. During the Mandalorian Wars, she served as a scout for the Revanchist movement located on the planet Serroco. However, after the Battle of Serroco in 3963 BBY, when Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders launched their attack, her fate became unknown.

Biography

Aurora Adasca, a female Arkanian, was the niece of Lord Arkoh Adasca, the leader of The Adasca BioMechanical Corporation of Arkania. She existed in the time period following the Great Sith War. Due to her Force-sensitive nature, the Jedi Order took Aurora for training, an act her uncle considered a kidnapping. After she was taken, Arkoh Adasca never made contact with her, and Jedi Master Lucien Draay, a friend of the Adasca family, also never saw her again. Eventually, Aurora became a Jedi scout and journeyed to the planet Serroco to support the Revanchist movement, whose goal was to involve the entire Order in the ongoing Mandalorian Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. Following the Mandalorian razing of Serroco in 3963 BBY, Aurora's whereabouts were never confirmed. Because she was the only remaining heir to the House of Adasca after her uncle was killed, her disappearance allowed investors of the Draay Trust to compete for control of the Adasca Corporation.

Behind the scenes

The nineteenth issue of the Dark Horse comic-book series Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was the first instance of Aurora Adasca's mention. Written by John Jackson Miller, the issue was released on August 22, 2007. Her name was not revealed until the publication of The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia in 2008.

Initially, John Ostrander envisioned the main character of Star Wars: Vector as an Arkanian Jedi named Aurora in his early drafts. Consequently, John Jackson Miller introduced Aurora Adasca in Knights of the Old Republic 19 in anticipation of her future role. However, the plans for Vector were later altered, and the central protagonist became Celeste Morne, a human Jedi, instead.
